Thank you to everyone who has joined PowerSellersUnite (PSU)
PSU was “born” when eBay implemented rate increases that significantly impacted sellers large & small. The fee hikes affect buyers also, as most sellers have no choice but to pass on the eBay fees to buyers. Our focus has now shifted away from the eBay boycott in early 2005 to helping sellers, and buyers, find the best alternative auction site(s) for their needs.

PSU is a fast- growing group of online members – seasoned and new – with common goals. We enjoy a fun, fast-paced environment where all facets of e-Commerce are discussed and debated.
PSU offers site navigation tools, free auction tools, and multiple search options right from the home page!

Our discussions include web site design to best alternative auction sites. If your area of question/interest is not found, ask and you will receive!

Take a minute and join one of the fastest growing online e-Commerce communities!

If you have any news, information, or updates you want to share please contact us

Be sure to submit a link to your online store on our Users Storefronts so others can browse your store. If you do not have your own store yet we provide PSU Stores so you can have your very own e-commerce web site.

You do NOT need to be a PowerSeller to join this site. EVERYONE is welcome!

"The Church of Scientology can delete auctions from eBay with no supervision under the VeRO program, and has used this to delete all resale of the e-meters Scientologists use. This is to stop members from buying used units from ex-members instead of buying from the official (and very expensive) source. Given Scientology's record of fraud and abuse, should eBay give them this level of trust? Will this set a precedent for other companies that want to stop the aftermarket resale of their products?"

Although it is an accurate description of one level in Scientology, it does not explain how so many intelligent individuals(and not so intelligent) get sucked in. The real reason is because the beginning techniques actually have benefit.
Gestalt therapy of Fritz Perls was a knock off of Dianetics. In fact, he wrote the intro to "A Doctor's report on Dianetics." The easiest way to brainwash someone is with half-truths that they adopt slowly and consistently. After a while they will believe anything on that subject including spirits stuck to their bodies! It is sad that this so called church exists. They should be closed down. They are criminal.

Anyone see the South Park episode on the Scientologists....

puts it all in perspective

I was one of the largest sellers of scientology collectibles. I can say that I have been targeted by the scientologists by email due to my auctions. I can also say they deleted EVERY auction that had an e meter as the item.

I have also had scientology plants who bought up and out bid everyone in my auctions.

They some desire to destroy old scientology documents.

I go to eCrater for my Tiffany needs. They have a larger selection of Lamps and Jewelry than eBid.

eBid remove any replica goods as quickly as they find them, or, they are reported. The same as they do any other listings that break their posting rules. eBooks, copied tv progs, ect ect.

I doubt any site can be 100% clear of replicas all of the time, as people keep listing them, support keep removing them, sometimes they just remove the listings, sometimes the seller.

Confused I just searched eBid for tiffany, obviously I found tiffany lamps & such like, as well as music, but I was only able to find 3 listings for "new tiffany" jewellery, 2 for second hand watches, & 7 listed as tiffany style, (none of which claim to have the tiffany markings or that they are tiffany) Confused

The above link is IMO a better statement of what happened

I find this rumor very hard to believe. Why not just let them suspend eBay Memebrs while they are at it?

And if these Scientology Pinks are also sellers of pencils, they could erase any competition from any other pencil sellers.

While VERO is one of the most abused programs on eBay, even eBay wouldnt go this far. Maybe I will list an E-Meter just to see what happens. (once I figure out what an e-meter is of course).

Daikon wrote (View Post): › I do doubt that they can delete these auctions on their own.

They can't directly, but since eBay cancels any auction claimed to be an infraction on intellectual property rights without even investigating or even bothering to hear the seller's side of the story they can in fact shut down any auction they please.
Including the ones for tin foil hats with L. Ron Hubbard's autograph on them.

The wording suggests it's something more direct than going through the customary ebay reporting process ... ""The Church of Scientology can delete auctions from eBay with no supervision under the VeRO program."

Seems a little too freaky to be true, though. Anyone find evidence beyond the slashdot post?

Ron L. Hubbard will make you burn in hell for this blasphemy!
