Wow, Alex pulled the plug on Ewaey without warning anyone.
Again.
Is this the third or fourth time? I've lost track.
As for "hostile takeover" - that's what happens to real companies with actual shares.
Alex was running Ewaey as a hobby project out of his basement. If there was a "hostile takeover" it was done by cockroaches. |

Yes we are welcoming all from there to come to us because they were left in the dark. That was not professional and the fact that they did not get a chance to get their information moved before it shut down was also unpressional. That is not how a business is ran.
You're right, that's not how a business is run.
But then again, you only have yourself to blame.
You should really have researched a bit more on Alex and his tendencies to pull the plug on his websites every couple of months without prior warning. |

Thank you for your imput, you have cleared up a couple of things but it also reminds me of someone else I know, with all the mis-spelt words and hype. |
MaineCountryboy: "Tit for Tat" then i should tell you, you always have a space after a comma's. try it! |
correct the word i, should be capitalized, also Try it starts a new paragraph. |

I don't know who you are asking the Question to, but if you have that many parts, why not open your own online business/store. You can in fact get yourself a free ecommerce site. Set up a store and promote your own business and keep your profits. Check out vstore.ca. I have several business online through them. I am never charged a fee. They do however offer a package you can purchase, but you don't need to. Check them out, I have been with Vstore for over 5 years and they have never let me down.
Their service is impeccable! Vstore.ca
Good Luck! |

There is also a free version called Zen Cart you can use and its PHP based and you can set things up the way you want and alter the look to your needs. It is a good program as well and you can send out newsletters as well as specials and setup coupons and such. So if you open your own store hosting is pretty much all you have to pay for and there are sites out there like Host Gator that offer monthly fees of just $7.

OMG! I can't believe this guy just pulls the plug on his sites. Here I was all thinking that is was a nice site as some seller from eBay was convincing sellers to go there. You know the whole first 5000 free. What a waste that was. This guy is running a good plot though. Start a site and say that the first how ever many are free; charge them a buck just for verification (-30 cent fee); wait until enrollment starts to sag and pull the plug. |

He mentioned his lawyers. I wonder if anyone could sue him for their time to list items on that site? I didn't list there, but some did. |

Isnt this another phppro-Bid site? (http://www.phpprobid.com/)
How many of these things are there? Has to be AT LEAST 300, and they all look virtually identical. Do any of them actually get bids? |

Is it always under the same name, or does this Alex guy use different site names? This was the first I've heard that he does this, but I haven't been on here that long. I registered, but never listed anything. |

Vstore simply hosts OSCommerce (which is 100% free and on which Zen Cart is based) for people.
Hosting your own site is the way to go; nobody can take your listings away.
$10 a month is not a lot of money to pay for this basic security.
Besides, having your own .com domain is a lot more professional than something like storename.freewebshop4u.net. |

Does Vstore let you list as many items as you want to or does it have a limit such as 100 etc, I need something that will let me list 1000's of my atv parts |

what difference does it make where or how it was created?
If it works then it doesn't really matter does it?
not every site is created equal. and cMYbid is one of the ones that is gonna stand out from the rest.
with honest hard working everyday people.
working hard to create a safe and enjoyable site for anyone to enjoy. |
