Sure, with less than 200 items, cMYbid is the next big thing. Sorry, but after finding out about this eWaey deal, I think I'll pass on another NEW site. |

Just got my official email from cMYbid as did all Ewaey members. You were just workers on that other site yet have access to the member list. C'mon, we aren't stupid. Moderators would not have email files. You should just knock it off already. Why not go to a rooted site instead of creating another cookie site with all zeros. I think Alex realized Ewaey would never take off with its and his history, so now this new site he supposedly has nothing to do with. |

I guess the guy Alex closes his sites down all of the time. This cMYbid site is supposed to be run by the people that were working for Alex. They say he has nothing to do with this new site. What a mess. |

cMYbid is run by the people who stuck with Alex the last time he pulled the plug without prior warning.
In other words not the brightest of minds. |

I don't care to know about the past history of things with alex and ewaey.
this site has nothing to do with that.
I try to look forward becaused looking behind causes you to run into walls.
you can dwell on irrelivant things if you like. I think I"ll just move on and try to be successful and if I fail?
well, at least I tried.
and you can't fault a person for that. |

absolutely no way you are getting me to sell on this new site there are to many other sites that are already established. this website has nothing but junk on it. besides seems like it (CMYBID.cOM) is not the place to be.I read the forums at ewaey and seen how unprofessional these crews are plus I don't even see a SSL stamp this means that even if these people are trying to do good things. there site can be hacked very easily and all your personal info stolen. If they aren't a scam anyway a lot of these FLY-BY_Night websites are just here to steal your email and ip addresses to sell to other companies to spam you. As a matter of fact i believe this might be the reason eWaey had to quit the were hacked and the emails and identity of all the members stolen.I am not for sure but there are talks around the internet of exmembers getting spammed after joining eWaey.com. So all in all I have to say cMYBID.com NO Thanks I have enough JUNK in my mail thanks. If you can get a reputation going like some of these other sites and ACTUALLY be secure we might see but you don't even have 100 members or a SSL certificate |

Why don't you take a look at techbid?
We can help with the setup of an entirely free shopping cart with unlimited items in cart and store.
You can have your own password protected directory for all your images and other support documents.

History is not irrelevant. History is taught in schools and in the home for a reason. History is a picture of where a person, culture or business has been. History gives you a picture of attitude, progress, successes and failures.
Those who analyze what makes a business successful can incorporate methods into their own business. By the same token, understanding failures can help - especially the small business owner with limited funding - save time and money by avoiding many potential pitfalls. The upshot can be accelerated growth. History makes this possible.
Ewaey has 3-1/2 years of history in the OAI.
SPAM? Not surprising to those who know the history of Ewaey/Alex. SPAM is the way Ewaey was introduced to the industry years go - forum SPAM. Ewaey customers (sellers) have complained about SPAM at various times.
Pulled the plug? Not surprising to those who know the history of Ewaey/Alex. The plug has been pulled numerous times for what hard working business owners consider frivolous reasons. The story rivals a daytime drama.
A vendor who pulls the plug on your business because they can't deal with their own business has no sense of commitment, loyalty or respect. The way Alex tells it, he is constantly being victimized. In turn, he uses this as an excuse to victimize the businesses associated with his venture.
Ewaey has come to be defined by drama and histrionics. That's the history of the site. Hasn't changed in 3-1/2 years. Why should it? People are willing to throw their own business under the bus every time Alex decides to open a "new" and "improved" version of the same old cr@p.

I agree that is not good business practice.
and to MY knowledge, Alex is not involved in cMYbid
only the dedicated people who were trying to make a new auction site work.
we like the people we worked with and decided to keep our group together.
there is nothing wrong with that.
scepticism is good as long as it isn't taken to slander. like some have done here on PSU.
I hope that instead of shooting the site down for reasons that are not there, you will see the truth.
we dont need permission to continue our venture
we have hard working dedicated staff members.
and we are conitnually working everyday to make this site safe and enjoyable for everyone.
That's all we CAN do, no one can guarentee anything. |

Still how do you explain the cold harsh truth no mater who is running the site and no matter how fun it is.IT IS NOT SECURE!! They have a licence to prove that you are a secure web site that way everyone can be safe.have all the fun you want we dont care, but if you are not secure,no one will want to go there for the simple fact that identety theft is a big issue on the internet.so dont take offence to previous statements just a cold harsh reality if you steal my identity i Will come after you and prosicute you to the fullest extent of the law.I am sure that most people would do the same. Fun or not you cant get around this issue. When people are trusting you with their most personal information they want to know it stays secure in your hands and that the many internet criminals cant get to it.so I have to say that you can promo all you want and love it all you want but your website is not going to get a chance to steal my info and i am going to make sure that everyone knows the risk, that any first year computer programer with a linux based system can hack your website annonomusly because you are not encrypted and they can steal all of the info that is stored on your server. Just because you are ignorant to the fact that this can happen doesnt meen that the rest of the world has to be. |

Info gleaned from the VSTORE site:
VSTORE is either vstore.ca or vstore.co.uk, a hosting provider offering oscommerce as shopping cart. Oscommerce is a full featured cart but known for a steep learning curve. It doesn't look like there is phone support for Canadian customers, any phone support for US customers is unlikely will cost you. Turnaround on support requests: Due to the large number of trouble tickets it may take a day or 2 to process your request.
Their html editor supports IE 5.5, Nertscape 6 or Mozilla 1.7 only. So you would need to use an external editor. At the same time their SSL certificate is not always compatible with older browsers.
To display additional pictures or embed them in the item description you will need to pay for a Premium Store. Pricing can be viewed only if you are a logged in member. According to a post in their testimonials less than a $ a day, so a bit under $30. Only premium stores are without advertising from Google etc. |
