Does anyone know what kind of listings these are on Ebay?

http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZsdc_prod_434012

Look at this 35000 listings never sold anything these look funny to me. Let me know what you think check this out. 320199384960

Their profile on eBay Express says they are a Shopping.com merchant. So I guess shopping.com merchants inventories are now showing on eBay. I guess that's a good way to artificially inflate the number of eBay core listings since they are appearing along side them in eBay and eBay Express searches.

This may explain the large number of listings that show on the auction watch page on this site - they keep going up and up, but when I search for things I normally search for the numbers seem very down to me.

evilbay is on damage control AGAIN.
Listing price slashed again on auction-style and fixed price listings.
List a bunch, pocket the savings

Yea right, let me go undo all those deleted auctions I just did, so I can pocket some money, lol. What a joke they are. As Cuff just said, they are shameless.

That item showed up for me with ONLY you can also Watch This Item button at the top and get alerts links - no buy, no bid, no end time, no location, no shipping. There was a bid box at the bottom of the page (13 available). Bad import?? eBay messing up their software? I think the listing padding thought may be valid.

Yeah it looks like they are trying to boost the numbers again.

I saw another listing on the boards that someone had found another such site with tones of listing, all by ebay.

O.K. here are the 4 Ids so far with over 125,000 Fake? auctions.
sdc_prod_434012
sdc_prod_9124_14
sdc_prod_9074_35
sdc_prod_9452

Anyone else see the pattern. If ebay is doing this has a test. I would have to question the timing.
I'm new to this board and it's getting late, perhaps someone can let the owner of this website know what is happening as the auction figures for Ebay are not accurate. Many of these fixed price listings have 100+ items, not sure if each counts as a listing but they should know about it so an announcement can be posted regarding the inflated numbers for Ebay. Who knows how long this has been going on...

One thread on the ebay forums has 4 different sellers like this, that they have FOUND with like between 40,000 and 30,000 listings apiece.

Weird weird weird. They are being reported to the FTC and news stations, if they are showing up as core auction listings there goes the numbers, poof.

It MAY be a hack. Once I as html illiterate as I am changed the ebay colors on my listing page, was really pretty but they made a rule against it not long after that.

here are some other numbers.. this was listed on the fb board.. someone thought that these listing were strange..

for one reason the buyer on 110224910410 is buying lots and lots and they thought that the seller sure posted tons of items in a short period of time..
here are 2 more 110224953144 & 190199170530
they were crunching the numbers and were saying it just didnt add up and that it they were also looking at how much fb was being left for the sellers.

all powered by Channel advisor?

then one of the posts found this..

in the ebay announcements today. ***Upcoming Workshop: ChannelAdvisor's Scot Wingo Shares Tips for Great DSRs***

looks stinky to me..

7 sellers now, someone else was going to report on here, it's on the powerseller board, seller board and feedback board, no WONDER the numbers didn't go down? And if it is a glitch it's a REALLY bad time for one?
