I have kept my mouth shut about OLA pretty much as I kept hoping things would change, but I guess it's time now to speak up in hopes others don't drink the water (kool-aid).
I had asked OLA for a Google feed at least 2 years ago. We had over 10,000 items there for around 18 months. Kept asking and asking.....
Guess what ?
It is STILL not done
Others than my regulars that I chased over there from eBay, I had 3 or 4 sales in a year & a half from new buyers. And one of those was Chris Fain.
Over the course of listing over there and doing as best we could at keeping inventory correct, their system always managed to re-list items we had deleted or make duplicate listings, causing chaos when it came to trying to explain to buyers we did not have the item.
Finally decided to leave and took me 6 more months of aggravation, emails & phone calls to get a CSV file from them so that the mess could be sorted out. Once I got the .csv I had all items removed and within 24 hours got a phone call from Chris trying to leave the items up and when I told him the problem with duplication and re-listing deletions, guess what ?
He gave me a FREE Founding Membership....
I had refused all along to sign up for one due to lack of sales.
That was about a year ago.....
Still have not used it.
All of the items we had at OLA were only listed with them and not on our website and now that they have been moved to the website, probably around 2500 have sold.
I have to believe that uploading them to GB myself is the reason.....
