Ok, Patch, I have a bone to pick with you!!
I looked at your store name, Dressed up & tied Down and went skiffling over there, all excited. It's ties.
Ties! What a let down... |

You were expecting lingerie and fuzzy handcuffs?
Ties can be interesting as well....and in addition, a tie can express a lot about someone....don't wear them myself very often but for some reason, people like them... |
You betcha! Ties. Phhhttt. |

It's part of the BBCode (Bulletin Board).
If you use the quick quote button, the whole post is quoted in the quick reply box. The beginning shows *quote="poster's name";post="number"* and at the end is */quote* -- except the *s are really []s but if I wrote that, it would work and you wouldn't see it.
So, I just take out the "excess" I don't need between the quote begin and end "tags". To quote two different posts, you can click the quick quote button on each. It also looks better when posted if there are no spaces or returns right next to the brackets.

Well.... we just had our first BIG TICKET sale at Atomic Mall. That's one item, $100+ in price.
I don't know what AM is doing differently but there IS more traffic and everyone is reaping the benefit!
|
I have started upgrading my listings on AM with lower mid level (20 to 50 dollar items) mid level (50 to 100 dollar items) and upper mid level (100 to 200 dollar items) on my latest store, Happy Holidays....I have made 4 single sales ranging between 20 and 50 dollars each.....no complaints here...at first I put mostly lower end items for sale on AM (although I did make 3-4 single item sales in the 100 dollar plus range) and it took me a couple of months but I gained enough confidence in the site to plan the Holidays Store.....I had to wait until after Xmas when things slowed down but I'm finally getting some items listed.... |

Thing is that right now if I type in Life March 10, I don't get Life issues from March. I get Life, and I get every magazine in the shop with a March, and I get Marching through Georgia, AND I get everything that could possibly have a '10' in there someplace.... |
How about now?
The top results will always be the most relevant unless you sort them otherwise. They will then become less relevant in descending order. Basically it uses the same search algorithms as our main search engine, with a few small changes. |
