Hello 52mp,
Thanks for the links! I took a look at the site...not much traffic yet, but all sites have to start somewhere.

Hey 52mp,
That's Great! I like to see traffic being diverted from Feebay over to some other sites, I'm a big advocate of competition!

Wagglepop should be launching in about a week or so. They have a 4 day pre-launch notification sign-up for people who are going to be selling there so they can get their items listed. I have already signed up to be a seller. Looks very promising!

(How can I vote in the poll at the top of this page?)

Patti

Edited by Patti 2/21/05 - I am no longer endorsing wagglepop and have asked that my account be closed there.

Patti,
If you are registered and logged in, you should be able to just click on an auction site and then hit submit.

greedygert,
Yes, I am registered and signed in, but I don't see anything that is clickable to vote in the poll. Sad

Patti,
That's really weird...okay I think I figured it out. Got to the home page and make sure you are logged in. Then click on Forum Index, click under Ebay Alternatives on Other Online Auction sites, then click on the first topic, large list of other online auction sites. Then it should allow you to vote.

There should be a radiobutton to the left of the website. But you have already voted it does not show up again. You can only vote once.

I tried livedeal just before Christmas, but it was still fairly new, and I did not make any sales. I had stuff listed for about 2 months.

However, I really do like the site...and will be moving back over there if I find that I can no longer afford Ebay.

Here is a copy of the last email they sent me:

Dear LiveDeal Community Member:

As you've no doubt read, eBay last week once again raised its listings fees. In some cases, the price hikes were upwards of 60 percent, making selling on eBay an even more costly proposition.

In the past year alone, thousands of sellers have migrated to LiveDeal to leverage our fast-growing local online marketplace and to take advantage of our no listing fee policy. The total number of items listed on LiveDeal has grown from 3,500 items to over 100,000 items the past 12 months.

As a seller you know the benefits of not paying huge fees up front to list items. LiveDeal takes its "Free for Life" promise very seriously. As others continue to charge and increase fees, LiveDeal simply wants you as a seller to be able to list more and pay less.

Share this link with friends who are tired of paying high listing fees online:

http://www.livedeal.com/about/promotions.jsp

As sellers online feel the pinch from sites that charge high fees, feel free to pass on this note to your friends to make them aware of the benefits of selling on LiveDeal at no cost. And thanks for your continued support. The new way to sell online is here and it is LiveDeal!

Sincerely,

The LiveDeal Team

Can you give me some blurb about ePier.com (like fees and what makes them different) so I can add it to the list of auction sites.

Thanks

I have tried the majority of these sites and Tradersoup is the one for me among the still open sites. I have sold more here in the past 3 months than all of the others all last year...put together. Although it is a new site, they are moving along quite nicely. Administration is there to help your every need. They say failure is not an option and I believe this to be true. Everything is free and later only a minimal fee may happen. I tried the site and this will be my new home. It's great!!

www.sellyouritem.com closed on February 1st, I understand.
