tonite i got an email from ubid advertising "special deals for bidville members!" so i click on the link in the email & it goes to ubid's home page. i looked all over but couldnt find any special deals for bidville members. in fact, i couldnt even find a link to bidville, or any mention of it!

so i send an "unsubscribe" email to the address specified in the email i received...& it bounces with the error msg that there's no such address...

there was no login link in the email, so i dont see how it could be a spoof or phish. i think it's just...stupidity.

I got the same email NPP - one gets the sense that the "company" (and I use the term loosely) is run by a bunch of dopey kids instead of proffessionals

Well, I got one and I was SOOOOO ANGRY, that I clicked on the contact link or whatever and went to UBid's site and gave them a piece of my mind.

Trust me it WASN'T very angelic either. It was however, as professional as I could muster, as angry as I am.

They bought Bidville and we (Members/Sellers) hoped that it would mean Bidville would finally see some much needed attention, marketing and ADVERTISING.

HOW DARE THEY send this type of advertising to Bidville members, advertising the UBID SITE!!! GAAHHHHHHHH!

I got that-it's a slap in the face to the BV people who have been hoping they would eventually advertise BV...especially after the post they made in the forums about how they were taking the time to make organized plans for BV.
Now we know what those plans are!

I received no email due to the fact I blocked their access to my account, except for "item sold" which appears to not work--Or there just aren't any buyers over there :lol:

Slyvia is the only buyer of mine over there since 4/20/05 :shock: The date I joined that BV site. Grant it, I only list over therre when I'm half asleep and haven't eaten in days 8)

To date, few views and no sales since I started listing over there about a month ago (again)........Need I say more?

ROFL - I figured that what you sent had absolutely no relevance to what they responded but - 8) :lol: !!! That's a shame, as I know many had such high hopes for Bidville.... :(

I got the email and I wasn't as nice as angel was, I dropped as many F and S bombs as I could possably think of. Maybe it's me but when Ubid bought bidville, it was a waste of money, they seem to do nothing with it as the last announcement was made last August.
