I hate to have to post this as I really like Google Checkout.
Yesterday I uncovered what turns out to be a round about glitch with Google Checkout. I had a Canadian buyer want to get things from my site. At the Mal's cart they picked the shipping zone for Canada OK but when they got to the Payment part at Google, there was a yellow highlighted text "seller does not ship to this country."
Fortunately for me, they emailed me about it and I sent them a PP request.
I posted about this on Mal's cart board and Mal answered that it wasn't the cart, it has to be Google. I then sent a question direct to Google (not their board) and they answered -" It's not us, it must be the cart"
So I posted back at Mal's with Google's answer. Mal again answered that Google is a hard company to work with but basically what Google is doing is allowing any country Buyers, but restricting sellers where they can ship. For now anyway.
I added this line to my main page where I have my Google Checkout info -- International users may experience a yellow warning message saying that I don't ship to your country when you get to the Google payment page. Mal's cart says it's Google's problem. Google says it's the cart's problem. Until I figure out what the problem is, see if it will let you pay anyway. If you have a Credit card that will pay in USD, you can pay and I do ship to Canada, UK and AU. Otherwise, send me an email and I will send you a Google or PayPal invoice.
Until I get another international user tho, I don't really know if that will work. I don't know if they will be able to enter their shipping address.
Just what I needed, another PITA. March has been rather slow, especially compared to last year. Nothing like something that maybe is chasing buyers away.
