Is it just me or are others having a problem getting on ecrater today? it keeps timing out for me at my store and at just ecrater.com.

It's not just you - you're not alone! :)
eCRATER's having some technical problems... there's a few more threads regarding this that can explain in much better than I could.
They're aware of the problem and working on it though. And from what I know of eCRATER, they're really trying to get all working well again - I've not seen the site go down before. |

I just posted a reply in another post that I can't get in either but it has never happened before. My other sites seem to go down on daily, weekly or monthly basis. I hope it comes back up soon.

Nope, you're not alone, rudeatroves.
There's a thread for updates, but there is no relevant info beyond BigT's post regarding attempts to contact admin.
When I couldn't get in, I pinged ecrater and there was 100% packet loss. I checked the server network status where eCrater is registered and all networks report proper function. However, an nslookup indicates that both name servers are down. It appears to be a problem with the domain name function and not the physical server itself.
Sorry I don't have better info. The only consolation is that if it is a dns problem, our stores are probably safe - and that's good news!
dunno' when services might be restored, but eventually someone with information will post on the Updates on ecrater.com down problem thread. |

| Bummer! I just got a message when I went to eCrater that it will probably be down for at least 48 hours. I wanted to do a little bit of work today and tomorrow on my itsy bitsy store there. Good luck with the problem, eCrater! |

"eCRATER is currently down. The server will be pulled out today from the datacenter. It looks like a hardware failure. We apologize for the inconvinience. ETA will be probably at least 48h." |

Thanks Angel - I'm a dork, and was not going to the home page - but rather to the 'login' page! Usually, that's my first stop, so I didn't even think about the home page....

Erin, if I hadn't seen this on PSU, I would have gone to the login page later today and thought that I was doing something wrong because I'm not good at getting around on eCrater yet.
So it looks like no eCrater for us today. Maybe I'll see you on PoshPoints later! I need to go and add the referral thingy to my signature here too. Thanks for the visual reminder. :) |
