Had my first one recently. It was nice to see that the case was closed before I even knew it existed! Scary.... Contacted the buyer he said for whatever reason paypal took the money from his old banking info rather than his current and that he updated it and should be good to go. So I check the paypal details and it says the following:

Thank you for your cooperation with this investigation.

Now here's the question.. Looking through my account I see the money coming in, but don't see it ever going back out. When they reverse a transaction, should there be a seperate transaction showing the money taken back out? As far as I can tell it is still there, but I'm not 100% how it works. Thanks,

Mike - I had one of these, and... I did see it go back out. So - I dunno if you've got an anomoly or if there's an issue.

I'd tell the customer exactly what you're seeing, and that you need to research - as you're not quite certain what PP has done with the funds and/or the account.

EXACT same thing happened to me a couple weeks back. Canadian customer bought a few record cleaners from me - after I noticed that the Global Priority Tracking showed it as delivered, that's when this guy supposedly attempted the reversal.

you didnt get an email or anything right? You just logged into your account and saw a reversal that was denied as fast as it was applied for... Mine didnt even have a note from customer, just a category selection for reason wanting reversal: "possible fraud"

I kinda think Erin is right that this might be an anomoly... who knows.

Fat chance getting PayPal to provide any answers

Call them!! I've had a payment reversal done after I had ordered the customers merchandise. Not a word from the customer about changing her mind. And this same customer did it to others too from the same site.

I told paypal what was going on with the person... several sales of buy now with pp. Most were reversed. She was even trying to reverse her verification payment. And she still (at the time) had open bids on other items.

I was able to give PP the urls to everything this person had done in the previous 48 hrs at that site.

I know two of us who got our money back. And I still have my merchandise too!!!

sounds like bank fraud to me and paypal should be sued and powersellers here are pretty strong I would think.
