I understand that Gbuy was the street name for Google Checkout which is now doing very well ... I love it ... I've read that Google is planning to launch Google Wallet or is this in fact the Google Checkout??? If not what is the difference does anyone know???
I dispise notmypal and evilbay ... Google will get 100% of my business that is for sure ... and I hold grudges very well ... notmypal and evilbay just screwed themselves ...
Also, I know this isn't the right section but any news on Google Auctions plans would be greatly appreciated !!!

| Google doesn't have auctions but... they are in a perfect position to set themselves up for sales. |

No auctions 'yet' that is ... or not that they are publicly revealing it ...
the reality is they will do it ... I mean it's ripe for the picking ... and auctions are basically about search ... and google will shred ebay in that department ... I bet google has spys in ebay right now ... lol ... guaranteed ... this is 2007 biz ... RUTHLE$$ ...
I know I'll join Google Wallet (paypal killer) and Google Auction (ebay killer) immediately as will all my friends and biz associates ... and in terms of buyers ... I know more people that are familiar with Google than they are about evilbay ...
Do a poll yourself ... google has it's own word for cryin out loud ... it's a verb ... hasn't anyone said to you to 'just google it' when talking about something? of course they have or will very soon ...
Ebay is going to be in serious trouble in a couple years mark my words ...
I still say 2 years in the auction game google will equal ebay sales and 3 years in they will be the # 1 auction site in the world and surpass ebay ...
People say ya but look how long it took ebay to get going ... yes but by saying that your forgetting that alot of that was peoples buying comfort level online and the .bomb era and the fact SSL encryption wasn't what it is today ... not to mention the fact that google already has the search factor down cold ...
Not to mention google has more brand name recognition and biz ties they ebay ... not to mention ... not to mention ... not to mention ... lol ...
Not to mention ebay and paypal are clunky systems ... they suck ... have you ever used Gmail??? It's a dream ... like all google products ...
oh ya ... I forgot ... "MOST SERIOUS SELLERS AND EVEN ALOT OF BUYERS DISPISE EVILBAY AND NOTMYPAL!!!" ... HATE!!!! ... not dislike ... HATE!!! ... and we won't forget either ...
By 2010 we'll be laughing at ebay and happily on the #1 auction site in the world ... Google Auctions ... which I have a strong suspiction will be a 'wing' or 'division' of Google Base ... just how Gbuy was the street name which eventually became Google Checkout ...
Anyone know anything else let me know as I would really appreciate it ...
And I really hate evilbay and notmypal ... lol ...

Google Wallet = Gbuy = Google Checkout
Same thing
By the way , auctions are dead , its all buy now and its winging towards direct sales not venues like eBay , although auction sites are still a great way to find that repeat buyer.
If google rolls out auctions , it will be more like Yahoo auctions with more alot more hits , I would not be very excited but it would welcome it as an option. |

Thanks for clarifying that lammergeiernet ... I thought it was the same thing just wanted to be sure ...
Just curious why you think auctions are dead? I tend to agree with you just would like to hear your input ...
Is it because people are so impatient they just want to BIN???
