Hey all (those using GCO) -

Did you get a Google CheckOut Study, and if so - have you done it yet? I'm going to look at it tonight/tomorrow, and just wanted to see if those of us using it were aligned on our feedback!!

Any input would be awesome!

I would love to see them work on the invoicing. I hate to say it, but Paypal Invoicing has me very spoiled.

I would also like to see the front-end interface 'easier' to navigate. Every time I go and look for help, I have to sign back in.

Lastly, I'd love to see a bit more marketing, exposure, etc. Just to let the market know it's arrived!!

Id also love it to be available for our international friends (as sellers/merchants)!!

These are my quick thoughts! :D

I didn't receive the study yet.

I just started using it within in the past few days. I signed up about a month ago tho.

I, too, am spoiled by ebay and paypal invoices.
Heck, even my own template invoices are much easier than GCO.

GCO is TOO MUCH WORK for what it is worth.

I will gladly pay the small paypal fee to save myself the time and effort involved in creating these invoices from SCRATCH ALL THE TIME EVERY TIME.

I can be more productive doing other things instead of wasting my time doing invoices as you compare the time needed to do a GCO invoice vs a PayPal invoice.

I have to type in the product.
I type in the price.
I have to repeat that for however many products are purchased.
I have to ADD and do a subtotal.
I have to type in shipping & handling, tax if applicable, insurance if applicable.
Then re-add and do a TOTAL DUE.

TOO MUCH ROOM FOR HUMAN ERROR also by it not being automatically calculated.

Hiya Covey - Yeppers....I kind of 'feel' the same way! I don't frequent the GCO boards/forum at all, and am very hopeful this has been brought forward to them...

I love the idea of PP having competition, but boy howdy - I'm hopeful someone is giving them good advice on prioritization!! :roll: :oops:

I did the study just a little bit ago. I forgot to add the international thing, but I did let them have a few choice words about a few other things.

I'm using GC with Mal's Cart on my web site and GC has messed around with things a few times. 2 weeks ago my sales totally died because of something GC did and I didn't know it. That meant that there was NO payment option left in my cart for almost a week.

Also 1 of the questions is set-up badly and none of the options applied to me so I didn't pick anything, but it wouldn't let me get to the next page until I answered something. So that question is going to be totally wrong.

Another question shows how clueless they are. The question about your sales. The MINIMUM number was $24,000/ year. Shoot if I was doing that much, I wouldn't need GC or PP. I could afford a merchant account.

That is so true. It's only been since Nov when they started the invoice thing that it was at all useful to anyone. A lot of the carts are still working to get moduals that actually work with GC.

So yah, GC is still very young and hopefully headded in the right direction.

But there are times when I wonder if they actually live in the same world with the rest of us as they really don't know how the stuff SHOULD work in real life.

:shock: :shock: I've not yet looked at it, but me too - in the small fry category!!! I'll surely get to it yet this evening or first thing tomorrow!

I will say tho - one of the two invoices I sent out decided it was 'worth' it and paid using GCO!! I'm a happy camper - no fees!

I'm hopeful they can also take advantage of the $10 promo that GCO is offering + I gave them a discount!! Life is good - 50% so far (no contact from the # 2 buyer)!! :wink:
