Hi, anyone came across this debit card, that can withdraw your Paypal money from local ATM? The card is from Virtual Money: https://www.virtualmoneyinc.com/
I am thinking of getting this card, but not sure if it really works. Need some advise from people here...
Thanks |

Why don't you just get PP's own debit card ??
That's what I've had for 4-5 years now. I think the new version only gets a 1% cash back, but it's still worth it to help reduce your fees. I even use it at the Post Office so I get a fee cents off on my postage.
You have to use it as "credit" to get the cash back, but that's OK. I use it on-line and where ever that way (when I have some money in it that is).

Hi Carol,
Thanks for that. I have tried that, but apparently the PP debit card only available to US customers, or in another words, not available to Malaysia customers. |

Kenix,
Sounds like you might've just heard a rumor about the ability to withdraw PayPal funds...???
I looked at the card information available at the site, and read the FAQ - nothing about PayPal at all. Since I have a google toolbar, I also set my search feature to search "Current Site" - with a search for "PayPal", nothing at all shows up.
So in short - I would not jump into a new card that might not even be FDIC insured (especially since they're not a bank) based only on someone elses word that you can draw from your PayPal account - because the site says otherwise.
The site does display contact info tho - perhaps if they reply in the positive, you can suggest they post this benefit on the site so at least their is written proof for possible recourse

Hi Aslan,
Thanks for the advice. You are right, i don't feel 100% about the card as well. That is why i post here to see anyone really using it.
Thanks again for your help. |

| I use the Debit card by Paypal, too and it works well. It's pity that it can be used only in USA also I can't use it in my home country. The site you mentioned may sell the virtual card. It can be used same as the debit card to shop on-line and sign up for Paypal account in case you don't have the credit card. |

Would/did it work yesterday during their 3 hour outage?
