British news outlets are reporting that Google will officially launch its Google Checkout payment service in the UK on Friday.
The Telegraph and the BBC both reported the news on their websites late Thursday. While Google had signaled its intention to expand internationally during an investor conference call in January, it had given no details, and there are no clues as to whether a Friday expansion might include Canada or any other countries besides the UK.

It seems that they have added a section to the Google Merchant Forum for UK sellers.
Maybe they really are accepting UK sellers now.

I'm not sure why ( probably banking laws) but when they first posted the list of countries where buyers could "pay" from, Canada was NOT on that list. A couple of weeks later Canada was added.
So while it's good news that UK sellers will be able to have GC, I'm guessing that Canada will have to wait a bit longer.
