| I am wondering if I exceed the 30G transfer rate will I get an early warning of some kind. I would hate to see a huge bill because of malicious activity such as worms or bots. This concern comes from my husband who is in charge of internet security for a large hospital. I am so far impressed with what I have read concerning PSU storefronts. After just doing my taxes and seeing that I have paid last year $10,000 in Ebay fees I am ready to keep more of the profit I generate. I look forward to opening a storefront. Peggy |

Peggy - I don't have your answer, but wanted to welcome you to PSU and also bump this up! There are so many topics here, sometimes questions get 'lost' in the flow.

Good morning Peggy and welcome to PSU!
I have one of the PSU Stores and heavily promote my feeds. I was concerned about the file transfer rate and asked PSU about it once and he assured me then that I was well under the limit.
30gb is a huge amount for like ours, compared to hospitals that use high technology. As far as worms or bots, PSU keeps our server secure and safe.
Please feel free to ask more questions you may have! PSU should be along soon! :D
Oh yes, I do see bots visiting my store...and they're the good bots! Googlebot, MSNbot and yahooslurp, among others. :D

You will get a warning if you get close to your transfer limit. 30 gig limit is huge the forums here don't even use that much. Don't worry you won't get a huge bill, if anything it will be at most another 9.99 for another 30 gig. Thats 60 gigs total if you have that kind of traffic your hosting bill will be the least of your worries because you will be making tons of money on your site and too busy shipping orders and restocking. |
