Building on their existing alliance, Yahoo and PayPal today announced that Yahoo Sponsored Search results will feature a blue shopping cart icon linking to merchants that accept PayPal Express Checkout as a method of payment.
Participating merchants' search listings on Yahoo will be enhanced with the shopping cart icon, pointing consumers to a bright orange button on the merchants' checkout page, offering a simplified path to complete purchases using PayPal Express. Here's a screenshot:
The icon looks remarkably similar to the shopping cart icon displayed when Google Checkout first launched. Google subsequently changed the look and position of its checkout badges.

Yahoo is weak.
All of their services from free email to web store hosting can be/are being provided by dozens if not hundreds of others companies.
There is not one single thing I can name that yahoo is "THE" destination for.
ebay has auctions and the customers sellers need.
Google has about a million useful features and functions.
yahoo has zip.

Who owns Yahoo? - David Filo is the largest individual shareholder and Legg Mason Incorporated is the largest institutional shareholder but these 2 entities only control about 14.5%
Who owns Amazon? - Jeff Bezos, its founder and CEO has the largest chuck of the company. |
