Google's shopping search engine, Froogle, has changed its brand name to become Google Product Search.
When Froogle emerged in 2002, Google established that while many users were gaining exposure to the product name, most were unaware of what it actually did. Furthermore, copyright, trademark and internalisation issues resulted in Froogle not performing as well as Google had hoped and expected.

| I'm really glad to see this change. I don't believe most people using Google ever understood what Froogle was supposed to be. |

Froogle and Google Base...
Cutesy Names... But what do they mean???????
"Gooble Product Search"
That more Specificaly Tells people what it Means..
Don't agree most with Google, BUT this one a positive one... |

When Froogle was missing for me today-I KNEW someone would have the reason here.

I also noticed this and.....it gives you the ability to sort by GCO items (for those that prefer to say good-bye to Paypal....) - which is very nice indeed!!!

I still think this is a Good Idea on Google Part BUT it appears they might have stole the Idea from MS Live Product Search?
Is stealing something Evil?
