Hi.

I've been using moneybookers for more than a year with zero problems as a seller since moneybookers does not do chargebacks and therefore I have the peace-of-mind that once I am paid, I stay paid.

Sometimes though customers (buyers) get turned-off by the strict verification process of moneybookers which could take a couple of days or more. But we all know that this is part of the "know your customer" process to protect both the buyer and the seller.

I've come accross Xcoin and over here at PSU but have not used them still and I don't see a lot of feedback at all on the internet. Tried searching technorati etc for some feedback but can't find a lot.

Xcoin questions:

1. What is the process for verification of buyers?
2. What is the process for verification of sellers/merchants?
3. Is it easy for the buyer to instantly pay using Xcoin or would they have to go thru a lot of steps to pay?
4. Do you need to have a US-based credit card to be a seller or would a US-based bank account do?
5. If you are a buyer, what countries are allowed to buy?
6. Is this similar to moneybookers wherein there are no chargebacks?
7. Do you upload funds first to Xcoin and then use the funds to pay someone (like moneybookers) or is it like paypal where they directly charge your card when you pay without uploading funds?

More questions to come when I think of them.

Is there a resident Xcoin expert/user over here?

Cheers!

I've had Xcoin for a longtime but have not used it , its not a bad choice on paper as its on a couple alternative auction sites and is more popular in Asia. Still I get more interest in Moneybookers ,Certapay,

Xcoin members can send and request funds from over 37 countries. At the present time International account withdrawals can be made from the United States, Canada and Hong Kong. Internationally we are continuing our efforts to expand local country withdrawal services.

Xcoin claims it has no chargebacks but its not regulated as Moneybookers is , so assume its like Paypal.

lammergeiernet,

Thank you for the feedback. It seems we use the same payment processors and I also use digital gold currencies like e-gold and pecunix.

The most secure digital currency is actually WebMoney and it is widely-used in Russia and Eastern Europe.

I do not like paypal since it is easy for a dishonest buyer to scam an honest seller. Most of the time, the paypal victims are the sellers because the Seller Protection is non-existent and not transparent.

I know of "Web Money" but the stigma attached to it because of Russian Mafia does not help my brand

Also a gold based currency rather then a fiat currency has certain advantages.

You may want to consider the E-Dinar

XCOIN. Can anybody help me.
I signed up for XCOIN and sent two invoices which they collected and added to my account balance, only small sums.
I then sent five more and three have been collected, the buyers are now all asking for their goods, but they do not show on my XCOIN statement.
I have sent six e.mail to XCOIN over the past 10 days all receiving auto reply that I will be contacted shortly. No reply to date!
I have tried to fax a copy of my passport to them, the details you have to send to varify yourself to be able to claim payment to your bank, my bank account having been validated by them taking $1. I find that both fax numbers are not working.
I see many shops and businesses on internet accept XCOIN or so they say.
Can anyone tell if XCOIN is still in business?
Have I been taken to the cleaners, Ripped off?
Is anyone dealing with XCOIN?
Does anyone have another email address for XCOIN or contact details?

Strangly I found an ad on internet. XCOIN are looking for people to work in their Customer Services Dept.

Any help most welcome,

Thanks John.

Welcome to the PSU forums John and thanks for posting about xcoin.com. I've merged your question into the dediacted thread for that particular merchant account.

xcoin was recently added to the overstock & onlineauction sites, so I'm pretty sure they're still around.

I would love to contact XCOIN Customer Services and have sent then 6 email in 10 days with no reply.

I love the XCOIN front page. No frozen accounts like PayPal.

I left ebay and PayPal behind and wanted to start an eshop that I could build into something big. XCOIN seemed a perfect tool. Now I not sure!

If XCOIN is reputable. Could someone please explain why on their site there are only three points of contact.
email to customer services. Haveing sent six emails I have had no replies. There is no problem receiving emails from them as I always receive the standard automated reply that they will contact me shortly. Two weeks is not shortly!
There are two fax numbers, to where you can fax your verification details. Both are not working.
As they have now collected five invoices for me, only ywo of which are showing as collected on my statement. I very concerned.

Well Xcoin was not very respectable or prompt fixing its e-mail issues so I have lost confidence with them , it was not a very popular service and I need to clear room for Googlecheckout banners as well as Moneybookers credit card payments for merchants , so bye bye Xcoin from my venues

So its Paypal and Moneybookers for me and waiting on Googlecheckout , and I have Egold as side option (+ couple Canadian services)

Moneybookers

E-Gold
