Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone has been involved in a chargeback situation with GC yet. Google Checkout sent me a email a week ago that one of my buyers is claiming he never received his items. I replied to GC and sent GC the delivery confirmation that the customer did indeed receive his items. I just got another email from GC that says: Tracking is not available online and to send proof immediately. I really am not sure what else I can send? I clearly sent the info in the email with the buyers address and the delivery confirmation and the updated note from usps.com that shows it was delivered to his city, state and zip code. Does anyone know what I can do? Sorry this is so long.

I have not had a chargback on Google Checkout yet.
But PLEASE keep us informed how this turns out.

Are you covered under the Google Payment Guarantee?
It will tell you if you are covered in the transaction page for that sale.

Lightingguy,
It says this under the order information:

Covered by Payment Guarantee [?]
AVS: Full
CVV: Pass
Account age: 61 days

Is that what you are asking?

Yep....
It looks like you are covered under their Payment Guarantee policy.
I personally have not had to use it.
But I would think that if you can provide proof of shipping and delivery then you would be covered.

Have you saved the tracking number into the sale page?

Yes, the delivery confirmation number is on the order page and when I track and confirm on usps.com it says that it was delivered. I thought I was okay when I sent the information to GC but when they emailed me again saying that they couldnt track it online..Im getting a little worried. Like I need to provide something else and i dont have anyhting else. Its for a hundred dollars. :(

I hope Google would really look into it unlike the customer service of Paypal. If it is marked as "delivered" and check-able online, then why would they say they needed more proof?

This would be a nice case-study if honest sellers will be scammed again using google checkout.

Good luck!

I've also not had one yet, and am interested in how it turns out. Is there anyway that the DC # was 'off' a digit? If they can't 'link' to the tracking information, might it be something simple like this?

I've also seen some DC recently where the PO shows is arrival at the 'unit', but not fully delivered. Almost like it's at the station/processing facility for the zip code, but not yet to the buyer...

Please keep us posted and sure sorry for this!! Stinks 4 sure....

Occassionally, the package can be left on a doorstep, marked delivered, then stolen. Did your buyer contact you about it first? How is their FB? Is the item replaceable?

The number is correct. I got the tracking number from the order history. Im not sure why GC is saying they cant track online. I checked the number just fine on USPS.com . I think what the buyer is doing is a chargeback through his credit card company even though he received the items. As far as the buyers feedback, this was an order from ioffer and I believe he had no feedback.

I had one chargeback through GC and the tracking info wasn't working on the USPS website. I sent them a copy of my PO receipt with the delivery confirmation number on it. It only showed the city and state it was delivered to but that was proof enough for GC that I had sent it. They refused the chargeback.

Maybe you could send them a screenshot of the delivery confirmation?

Hi,
I sent a screenshot of the delivery confirmation from USPS.com. They thanked me for the information and said to watch for any emails in case they need anything else. Crossing my fingers that it all works out. :)

The last chargeback I had to do against a seller was through my credit card company.
I was told by my credit card company that I had to return the item with proof of the return in the form of a signature.
So I returned the item with a signature confirmation.
As soon as the bad seller accepted the item and I got proof
that the item was delivered my credit card company issued me a credit.
It all went fine.

So if you get a package from the buyer....
It will probably be the item you sold to him.

That is all I know right now....

Please keep us all informed n how it turns out for you.
