| What about sales, are they up? Yahoo sellers probably account for the rise in listings, I hope they bring their buyers with them! |

| I can not afford to move from Ebay yet. I was hoping Bidville would get more than the 50,000 of the million items Yahoo had listed. Guess 1-positive is Ebay is not gaining much after Live. Sellers will come when items are actually listed. I think if you see bidville top 4 million auction listings then you will see sales start to increase. |

| I will add that I was glad to see bidville remove the message boards. I think the postings there kept many users away. I for one did not care whos birthday it was or what their pets name was. I think it is a very positive move for Bidville. |

| BV was starting to look like an adult entertainment site with the hot tub thread. And, there won't be anymore bullying of new members by longtime Sellers who felt they owned the boards. However, because there isn't and never has been any kind of meaningful advertising for BV, it remains to be seen if removing the boards will help or hurt BV. With no advertising BV is like a closed circuit with many bids originating from the boards. |

Hey Joe, I've added about 500 this week too.
On a side note, very few if any of my 8,000 plus sales have originated from the boards. |

| Mine either. But a few did. And I never really had a whole lot listed at one time before. |

I do know that BidVille and eCrater were both selected by Yahoo sellers as top choices to go when Yahoo closed down. I've not 'seen' any data from the Yahoo selling boards that indicate how they are splitting their listings or going to one vs. the other.
I suspect that much of the growth in BV listings is directly related to Yahoo closing. I'm certain that many will continue to list their and in time, share if the site is or is not working for them.
As one who sells mostly clothing and home fashion items, I can't see where there's a ton of action in those categories. I do check each day for bids on listings - not seeing it. Of course, I can't find any place to 'see' closed items (buy-it-now) type results - is this available at BV? |

Hi Erin,
There is a Closed Item Search feature, but you have to be specific in your wording... For instance you could select the category of clothing, then search the terms jeans and see how many pairs sold, but you won't get the breakdown as to whether it was a bid or take it price. In fact, I'm not certain it will show the successful take it auction results at all, as each one that I clicked on had no bids. It will show you closed auctions for that particular item unless the results are too many, so you have to be rather specific in your search term in some cases. I just looked at it briefly.. You may be able to make it work for you...

| Yes you can search for closed items. Since most items have a take it now price, none will show bids unless the take it price was more than the opening bid which cancels the take it price. Hope that made sense. |

| Actually, some regular auctions, meaning not take-it auctions, did come up and a few had closed with bids. |
