BidVille members were quite dissapointed about the forum closing, which brang down sales for many sellers.

We reviewed all of the sites, did a poll and came to the conclusion that Plunderhere was our best alternative.

Plunderhere was chosen because of it's great features, forums, friendly members and for many other reasons.

Most sellers have already moved their auctions and many are following.

We don't know if it will be permanent, I guess that depends on BidVille.

Also, Plunderhere has started to cross promote with other auction sites which seems to be bringing in even more members.

Come on in and join us :P

Well.....cool beans - I'm at PlunderHere already. Do you know if this information has been shared back to the Yahoo Sellers' Group? I ask as the Y group had selected the BV site as one of two to migrate listings to.

I don't know if there is a user that is 'involved' in both of these groups or not, but think this information would be great to get back to the Y group.

Lemme know if I should try to share or if you know of a better member to do so!

Thanks for sharing!

Angela - I'll share with the moderator and group owner. I know that he is currently finishing the plan that is intended to be shared with the group members and this might be information shared 'there'.

Can you point me in any direction as to how the BV members discussed, when they decided, etc? More facts might help get the information out quickly!!

:D :D

Well, one of the points was that discussed was that Plunderhere's team is devoted to making the site better and promoting it.

Other points were that it is easy to list, listings are free, stores are free and pictures are free.

The site is more similar to ebay, while being unique.

There are lots of activities and it was possible to continue the weekend challenge, loved by so many.

Actually, there were 2 seperate converstations about this and both ended up pointing to Plunderhere.

I do not know what arguments the other group had.

We started by eliminating sites that had problems, like no sales, technical problems, fees etc.

Auction Quest was number 2 but people that sell there said they had no or very few sales. Also, they don't accept international sellers.

Ewaey was talked about but members didn't have much to say, probably because it is quite new.

I think that it would be very interesting to have many auction site members come together on one site. This will make us stronger and the site will have more ressources to advertise.

I'm not to sure what you can point out. Maybe someone else will come along and help.

In my opinion, many sellers going to a same site is a very good thing. It means more listings, more visibility, more money for the site to promote and all of these ingredients should bring more buyers.

Thanks for considering PlunderHere!! But in all fairness to AQ Ray, he does allow international, Canada, UK, mainly and a few others have signed up from France, Germany and Switzerland.

Neither of us allow Nigeria.

What are you doing to help yourself in obtaining sales?

Interesting. I find that it has more to do with the seller than the chosen auction site.

Buyers will go where we bring them as long as they feel safe, shop easily, find what they want and get great deals.

I say deals because most people shopping on auction sites want to grab a deal.

There is a lot going on over there.

Suzanne sold PlunderHere at the end of May. I don't know if she is still listing or not.

But they must have a good forum. All the chatters are headed there.
I'll stay at Bidville where my sales have picked up since the boards went down. I might add plunderville to my growing list of auctions though.

If you have somthing to say. This is a great place to say it.
