Hi to all!

Just wanted to ask your feedback regarding Bidpay. It does seem that if you do a "search" on Ebay for Paypal, BidPay, Moneybookers & others...

Bidpay will always come out to be #2 to Paypal.

1) How are their services?

2) Are there real Seller's Protection?

3) Is it easy for buyers?

4) What should I look out for as a seller?

I've noticed some Ebay sellers offer Bidpay and not Paypal... or some even go to this ..."Paypal to confirmed addresses only... if not, Bidpay Payment is the only option".

Does this mean they are better at Seller Protection?

Your thoughts are most welcome.

I actually haven't used it since Ebay took it over. They changed a lot of the rules from what I remember. And I can honestly say I don't know anyone that has used it. Nor have I bought from anyone that has offered it. Seems odd now that I think about it.

Who has used the new BidPay?

Hi.

What do you mean by "since Ebay took it over"?

Ebay did not take over Bidpay... it is Cybersource as far as I know.

You can check out BidPay

No. Ebay does not own Cybersource.

Where did you get your information?

It was discussed a while back....Ebay was looking at Cybersource. Seems they became 'partners' in 2003 according to one article I read. (And most of us know where that will lead eventually!)

The fact that Ebay is involved at some level with Cybersource is probably the only reason BidPay is allowed as a payment option.

i put this question to cybersource when it surfaced "a while back" & they replied that ebay does NOT own them. funni how this damn rumor wont die--it's almost like ebay is spreading it!

i use bidpay & really luv it. they do not allow transactions they consider questionable. (what criteria they use fer that, i dunno--ya might axe em.) they are easy to sign up with & use...& best of all, they dont hold yer money!!
:D

the only quibble i have with em is that there is no invoicing feature. i have mentioned to em that i think they would really take off if they offered this, but so far, nada.

I use BidPay to accept funds and I am very happy with them. The funds quickly get deposited directly to your bank account. No muss, no fuss.

Hi everyone I read in the Alternatives to PayPal section on this website that BidPay is merely a money order company that sends a money order on your behalf and this turned me off as it seems really cumbersome of a system ...

I read your replies and it seems I'm misunderstanding this ... or the info on this website is incorrect ... I also notice in the same page (Alternatives to PayPal) in this section of the forum that YowCow is still being listed as an option ... I don't know what happened to YowCow ... Does anyone know ... it's like one day they where around and doing well and then the next day GONE!

Thanks for your answers and feedback!

BidPay is no longer a money order payment processer. Quick easy to use, fees are reasonable. Used about 10 times in past 2 months, last sale $980.00 processed, approved and in my bank 4 business days.
