|
|
| One of my old Yahoo buyers tried to bid on one of my auctions and could not. They wrote me asking if I had blocked new bidders.. I don't recall making a setting on my auction not allowing new bidders and cannot find anything on Bidville where I can set a bidder level.. Even a new bidder with a -1 would be welcome depending on what the negative was for.... So is there anyplace on Bidville where I can let newbies in without a hassle. |

| Did you check your SAFE settings? Look at them carefully, some are set to a default that will block bidding. |

Hi postman,
The SAFE settings at BV are tricky. First off, they say you can "sign up" for SAFE, but in reality if you touch the settings at all you are signed up. Maybe they changed that, not sure, but I know it caused problems for some because some of the defaults completely block bidding. It seems to me that the exact opposite should be true. If a member doesn't touch any particular setting it should be set to allow bidding.
With all of the technical problems that BV has been having lately, it could be a glitch. I hope you're able to work things out for your bidder. It must be really frustrating when you know there are bids out there just waiting to happen. Good luck! |

What you think is to let everybody in can be just the opposite...
Can be confusing to say the least.
where you think yes is right it could be really no...
See what I mean..
But at least your buyer asked to bid and that brought your attention to the problem. |

Thanks. That was a good tip. I never would have thought to look. |
