Selling things on eBay has become a cottage industry, and now a Waltham start-up wants to become eBay sellers’ main concierge.

AuctionPal hopes people too busy to sell items lying around the house will let it do most of the work.

Launching the first part of its service next week, AuctionPal works by letting users send in photos of items they want to sell on the Internet. The company then asks customers a series of questions about their items and creates auction profiles for them on sites like eBay and Craigslist. Once the item is sold, AuctionPal sends a box and packing material to the customer. After the item is packed, the customer makes a call to have it picked up and shipped off.

Sounds expensive I wonder how much the percentage of commission they will take on a sale.

So the users have to take the photos and describe the item.
AuctionPal then sells it on eBay.
The user then has to pack and ship the item.
Right...
Who in their right mind would pay for such a service?

well at 20 percent and you dont have to write the description, manage customer service which all of us know is a pain and it includes all the professional packaging material needed to secure a transaction it doesnt sound too bad at all. there are a bunch of headaches to deal with using eBay. i told my family members about it and they thought it was pretty simple. if only ebay and pay pal fees werent the better part of 10 percent...
