I went to Amazon to check my store and noticed Amazon Auctions in my Z-shops section. Have I been asleep or is this fairly new? :?:

I've only been listing in the store a couple of months, with limited success, but I think I would have seen Auctions offered before.

I went the the Welcome or front page of Amazon and there is only a link to auctions near the botton left sidebar under Bargains. Nice.... bargains, now it's a garage sale!

Here is a follow-up on Amazon auction fees for Sellers.

Auctions sellers pay just $0.10 per listing at Amazon.com Auctions. Frequent sellers who establish a $39.99 Pro Merchant Subscription have all Auctions listing fees waived (in addition to substantial benefits for Amazon Marketplace and zShops selling).

Sellers can draw attention to their listings with Amazon.com Auctions merchandising features. Where fees apply, they are nonrefundable, apply only to a single listing, and are charged again if automatic relisting is selected.

Bid for Featured Placement: Promote your listing higher in its related categories. $0.05 or higher per category per day. Bold listings: Have your item stand out in boldface in search and browse results (we've found this increases sell-through by 30 percent). $2.00 per listing. CrossLinks: Insert a link to your listing on Amazon.com product detail pages. Free First Bidder Discount: Entice bidders to bid early and match competing bids. Free

Closing fees are assessed only if an auction attracts a winning bidder. The fee is based on the amount of the winning bid and can be refunded if your transaction is unsuccessful.

If your item sells for $0.01 to $25.00, Amazon.com collects a 5 percent closing fee. If your item sells for $25.01 to $1,000.00, Amazon.com collects $1.25 plus 2.5 percent of any amount greater than $25. If your item sells for $1,000.01 or more, Amazon.com collects $25.63 plus 1.25 percent of any amount greater than $1,000.

I don't have the exact current eBay auction fees (I am still locked out of eBay) but based on old calculations the difference isn't remarkable. One drawback (not confirmed) is Amazon calculates the shipping as it does in the ZShops. I have gotten burned by this method, sometimes by alot.

I guess noone has anything to say about Amazon. I was just trying to bump it back into Recent topics so someone could offer you information that I can not.
