Many blogs are reporting about Egold and their pilfering of customers funds. Going the route of PayPal, insomuchas freezing and suspending accounts... The difference in them freezing funds, your not going to see them again, as their not licensed to do business for which they are conducting their business.
The principal owners, having been indicted on a host of charges, from Child pornography to money laundering, its suspected that these account freezes are occuring to finance their legal misfortunes.
E-gold is plundering customers’ accounts. To try to save their own necks the accused who run e-gold are blocking small, little used accounts, accusing the account holders of infringements of their policies and then closing the accounts down. What happens to customers’ funds? Who knows? What is certain is that e-gold is in real danger of closing for business.
Vast sums of money will be needed for defence lawyers and even if these people go to jail you can bet they are now preparing for the day they are released. Be warned if e-gold goes bust account holders will lose their money. Don’t wait until the door is slammed shut sell your e-gold now before it is too late!
Details of their legal issues can be found in the Washington Post article and you can also read about their expulsion from the Membership Of The Financial Coalition Against Child Pornography
Got gold? Better sell. |

this was I reason I never accepted it to begin with it just seemed so well not so pratical. I have gold but yet I can never turn it into spendable cash. I have to find someone to sell it too. or use it to buy something. So since I could never get money from this I figured it's a waste and a bad investment idea.
Anyhow thanks for the heads up since alot of sellers take this I am sure they will want to know. |

E-Gold is not lawless
If you are using it for illegal reasons and a case is brought to it EGold can and will close your account.
This actually helps the viability of EGold service for the reputable amongst us that use EGold.
The fact that EGold has attracted the criminal international element is to be expected and difficult for EGold to weed out. But I expect a certain level of policing of EGold......or NEVIS would come under international pressure and we would lose one of the few reputable online gold services.
A large amount of EGold gold reserve is a seisure of the stoppage of a pyramid scheme many years ago. There is nothing new here , EGold has always had this policy.
If you are worried about it , then use EDINAR ,more popular......if you don't mind the fact its likely used by Osama's family.
I've used EGold for many years , its very practical in some parts of the world.
