Every month i withdraw all my funds to my bank account, which includes 3 currencies GBP, USD and AUD.
I have just withdrawn $318.58 AUD to GBP at a conversion rate of 0.411033 ... punch that into a calculator and you will get £130.95
So why did they only pay me £130.94 ? Ok, so it's only 1p, but a) it's the principle, and b) if they are doing this to me on 2 currencies, and around 100 million other people every month, it soon mounts up. I emailed them about it, and got a template response about how my excel calculations may be different to paypals... hmmm.. so i reply reiterating that X * Y = Z is the same on every calculator, so why am i getting X * Y = Z-1 ?
Well obviously they ignored that email. Because they can. sigh |

This reminds me of the movie Office Space where they create a program to steal a few pennies off each transaction from the bank they work at.
1 penny can add up to a lot. I wonder if they always take a penny. Maybe they sometimes add a penny so everything evens out? :roll: |

The point is also my books don't balance. My excel says one amount and my bank now says another. I just got a reply from them:
"I understand that you are enquiring about the withdrawal you initiated for $318.58AUD. Upon review, it showed that the funds exactly converted to £130.94GBP with the currency conversion presented when you made the withdrawal.
I trust that this information is helpful. Should you have any further
enquiries, please let me know by contacting us thru telephone at 08707
