Google invited a few journalists to the Googleplex on Tuesday to meet with Susan Wojcicki, vice president of product management for the company's advertising programs. She didn't make any big announcements (much to the chagrin of fellow attendees), but she talked about the industry and reminded us that online advertising isn't going away anytime soon.
"The (core ad) business we have is a huge business, and it is still growing at a healthy rate," she said in response to a question about concerns that Google is a one-trick pony. "We expect to continue to see growth."

| Glad to hear the ads are staying around. I just received my 5th 100.00 check from Google for the ads on my website. Wish I could get more traffic to it :-) google is a-okay in my book. |

Yes, Google Checkout is ok in my book too.
Every on line payment has been deposited in my bank account.
I am very comfortable using Google Checkout! |

| I might look into google for a shopping cart system for my website. Do they have one? I presently have paypal and its their fees that kill me. Their shopping cart is great though. |

| Patricia, how long has it taken you to make $500 on google? How much do you make a month, if you don't mind me asking? My site is ranked in alexa top 250k, whereas yours is 4.1million, but i only make about 70bucks a month, not sure how this compares to you but pretty sure it should be more than that on a site that sees 1500 uniques per day |
