I see the listings are creeping up, and non-sports card categories continue to grow at a pretty decent clip. I wish there was a way to figure out completed sales and new users. In the mean time Ebay has seen their listings fall off the cliff from 14M to under 12M in the last couple weeks.

That auto count would really be helpful if it showed,
solds , not just listings.

Then it would be a great help to sellers, what sites would work well for them.

The majority of listings in the auto categories are for cards or brochures selling at around $1.00. I saw only one actual car for sale and the seller has 0 feedback.

I believe the cards have been sitting there since BV changed the catagories years ago and loaded many auctions to the wrong categories.

Looks like they about to crack the 1.1M listings mark, which is a milestone. Only 1700 listings away! Looks like their growth has been pretty steady in the listings dept. Anyone know about new users or completed sales?

Unfortunately, 861,116 of BVs listings are sport cards. I subtracted sports equipment, autographs and memorabilia listings that appear in that category. That leaves just over 237,000 other category listings. That's a very small percentage to draw in Buyers who don't collect sport cards.

Listings seem to be on the rise lately. Great work everyone. I've got about 100 or more to add today.

I'm glad that people who realize what sells on Bidville are taking advantage of the opportunity to use the site for what it is.

I'm running about 50-50 lately with old buyers and new buyers so people are finding Bidville.

I do believe as the numbers continue to rise, the more attention Bidville will get.

I wish we had a sort by sold feature. You can search by closed auctions but unless there was a bid your not sure if it sold. This was a great help to me when they had that feature before

It is great that sports card seller have a place to sell. Anyone looking for that item will now know where to go. Thanks, Cuff.

Bidville- the Superstore of Sports Cards!!

With 237,000 listings NOT in the sports card field, Bidville has a lot better selection than most of the auction sites on the list here at PSU. Buyers choose sites where they will find what they are looking for. Twenty five times more likely than on some venues on the list.

They broke 1.1M and keep chugging along. 1.2M is the next stop, then I'd say 1.5M. If you look at the non-sports cards auctions they've been growing at a healthy clip, so I think that's where most of the growth is coming from and that's what is needed. Listings do nothing unless you have the buyers so more buyers will help as well, but every new buyer that has a good exerience helps as they'll return. They just need to the items they are looking for to be available and that's where listings helps.

Well I've got about 1500 items between the store and auctions, and find that crafts are a big seller .

And with a collection of about everything but kitchen sink, sales work well..for me.

The site just keeps looking better and better...

Talking about facts. Other venues are not even large enough to make the PSU list.

Speaking of offering a selection large enough that a buyer will find what they are searching for brings up hard questions. As a seller why would anyone list at those other places where no buyer can find what they want? As buyers why would they search those other places wasting their time? Seems that the list we have on PSU is ALREADY too long.

To compete with feepay we need to build up Bidville's selection so that everyone will find what they are searching for, not split the pie into even smaller pieces.

It's been a full year since BV made any kind of announcement other than reporting that there was an issue with credit card processing. If you want more Sellers to beef up the selection at BV, you might want to get with uBid and ask them if they are doing anything to help in that mission. Ask anyone you meet on the streets if they've ever heard of BV... No one knows it exists.

BV is just as big a waste of time as is any other small site that doesn't advertise. Add in the fact that management doesn't communicate and you have a losing proposition. Like Joan always says, you have to promote yourself and you can do that at any site you choose. Me, I'd rather list at a site where management is visible. Then, at least when there's a problem you aren't left blowing in the wind with unanswered questions.

Compete with ebay? LOL!

I don't have a store on BV there and I've sold stuff :D
Doesn't happen like lightining but happens in time. But better a site like this. (Very LOW fees) than ONA, WP, the bay or zolanta who charges crazy fees.
BV rocks by comparision
