Hi,

I am considering a store. I am a bookseller with 7,500 books for sale. They are catalogued in an excel spreadsheet. Within the spreadsheet are various columns separating author, title, condition, price, etc.

What I'm wondering is - what will the procedure be to get my 7,500 from a spreadsheet to the a PSU hosted web site?

Thanks,
Brandi

Hi Brandi!

We have a bulklister for the PSU Store that is a csv file. You can copy paste your info from your spreadsheet into the bulklister to load into the store.

Hope this helps,

Thanks, Sylvia!

I was just wandering around the store demo control panel - could you direct me towards the bulk lister?

I wanted to make sure I'm bright enough to use it!

Thanks,
Brandi

Also, do you know what the max number of listings a store can hold?

we haven't found it yet.

Just teasin'! The number of products and categories really are unlimited.

That said, what you as a seller and site owner should think about though is the number of categories you want to set up. If you set up too many categories,

a) your site becomes more and more difficult to navigate as customers have to drill down to find what they want

b) your site becomes slower as the database has to work to serve all the queries.

There are several HUGE stores built on PSU stores. Take a stroll through some of the stores shown in the link here:
