My Craigslist sales still beating the "alternative" sites.
Actually there's no comparison. Listed for months on
ecrater without a single sale. Only a a couple sales on Blujay.
I rarely go more than a week without making some
big sales on Craigslist.
Contrary to popular belief, you don't have to live in a
major city where craigslist is very active. You can find
the closest big city and offer to ship.
You may live 50 to 150 miles from a large city but as
long as you allow buyers to "pick-up" items, you should
have few problems offering to ship items for buyers who
don't want to make a long drive.
Listing in multiple cities is still prohibited. |

Probably depends a lot on WHAT you are listing there.
I've tried Craigslist from time to time and other than a few email inquires, never got any sales out of it.

"Probably depends a lot on WHAT you are listing there."
This is true. I'm still in the process of finding out what moves
and what is a waste of time.
I've done well with DVDs, CDs, and magazines. Not so
well with sports cards.
The "Wanted" category is really busy and I see some
wanted posts for sports cards but still havn't had any buyers.
Could be a problem with the categories. There is only one
"Collectibles" category. So everything is listed in the
same category (dolls, cards, plates, avon, minatures, etc. etc. etc.) |

I've had success with Craigslist for specific items. Generally in the range of $1700 to $3500. It's all about providing what their looking for.
You'll also find that you will receive emails from droves of morons who cant read, and have absolutely no money to even think about purchasing the item your selling. Its almost like many people simply call, to talk to you, as they have nothing better to do. HaH.
But, after weeding through a pile of those, you come across the one with the 'Chee$e' and at the end of the day, your sale is made, and ya move on. |

campu2 - great to see you having success with CL! Slightly off topic, but you also were doing well using 'groups' - is that still working good for you?
I'm planning for 2008 and just thinking of trying new/new to me ideas and venues. Would love some feedback on that!! |
