that you actually do SELL and collect..?
This question has been asked before.. but we really need to know and
thought you might be able to help?

ANYONE?

We are selling almost NOTHING now, on a total of five sites!!

Thanks sincerely for any response,

OK, DTD, fair enough...good question & like always.... things change...why not get an updated list???

I am listing at Overnight Auctions, TAM & The !Club Auctions.

Overnught Auctions has been the best for me...have sold approx 15 items there in 2 months...it is new & growing. All payments at this time Have been prompt & good.

At TAM, I sold 2 items a month or so back...I plan to add more items after vacation.

The !Club Auctions, I sold 1 item so far but only just started listing again with their promotion. The were doing a complete re-structuring & it's great & so much easier to list now. I also plan to add more to this site after vacation.

All 3 sites were chosen & kept because of the great customer service they have.

Hope that answers what you are looking for.

I just might have to swipe that gavel....shhhhh

Here's another for you >>>

So far TAM has outdone any that I have tried. Have lost count of how many items I have sold. Will have to look.

Also sold 1 item on BidChaser and Dealmania.

All three have superb CS. Jeremey, Leo and Mike have done outstanding jobs at keeping people informed and adding functions as quickly as they can. ( Albeit BC has a little more trouble getting the functions going!)

Also listing on Ebid.tv and have 1 buy now. Waiting for payment.

Will be back with the total on TAM.

TAM------14 that I can actually account for.

Listing on BC, TAM, eBid, DealMania, BJ, Yahoo, and Webidz...7 total - no wonder I'm tired...

3. BC - 11
2. TAM - 10
7. DM - 3
1. BJ - 0
4. eBid - 1 (payment pending)
5. webidz - 0
6. Yahoo - 1 bid (finally)

I'm short on time, but went back and put in a number - 1. where I've been the longest; 7. - the most recent.

Hope this helps!!

DTD~
I hear your story, and if it's any consolation...your story is being repeated a thousand times. I could fill in on that story, if you hestitate!
I know you kids have some disabilities...but, would you be able to set up a small covered booth outside a couple of times this summer? I don't know the extent of your health issues, but if you could do a little real world selling, while waiting on your listings to sell, it could invigorate you.
There are several disabled folks in the outdoor markets that I haunt. I help 'em as much as I possibly can (settin'-up/packing boxs out/tear down).
It would be hard for any able bodied seller not to give a hand to you folks...why, you're "as friendly as the town dog"!
Just a thought, though. Later, Dan

WOW, guys... GREAT response.. I wanted to wait
a while to say any more to see what you all have
to say.. PLEASE help me keep this thread strong
so that we can really get a feel of what might (??:))
work..
SOOO. so far...
it seems that we have VERY strong
votes on TAM.., Overnight (more?)....

Fair on Bidchaser and theCLUB (??)

I must put in one more vote, although NOT popular
(I know) Lana sells at least 15--30 items per mo.
at Overstock.. (no NOT nearly as many as before
they made everyone SO angry!!)

Is ANYONE that you KNOW positive is doing well on
BIDVILLE?
I will be back soon...(supper time).

Dan, I will send more later..
Folks please help keep it going to help US (if you don't
mind) and others make some decisions..

Thanks & blessings!!
JB & Lana

Hi there, Dan..

Well long story short (haha) re: health..I am the "recipient" (if you will) of a botched spinal
surgery..(mostly)I can not walk, but doing better EVERY day..walking SOME now..Lana is nearly deaf and has a VERY bad back..(NO, after what happened to me, she doesn't even want to TALK about "fixing" it..)

She is (still) in the retail sector for over 40 years.

Several times a year I go to flea markets & swap meets.. I really need to go again soon.. (SOOO hot!!) and we have several sales a year here at home. Folks around here know us as we also had brick & mortar store fronts (antiques) for many years. Over all we do really well.. I NEED to be with people and love to go "WORK" at what EVER is available for me. I had worked for over 45 YEARS.. when I had my back "fixed". Our home, etc. is paid for. We just don't want to get behind.. well you know.. that she & I are very upbeat, positive folks and we will be fine.

What auction sites do you like, Dan? Have you done really well at any of them in say the last 3-6 months? (see ..This time just last year, she (well US) was at WELL OVER 3 grand a month..(just online)and now...man..awful!
PLEASE let us know of any that YOU have a lot of confidence in..
Since (nearly) the very beginning of PSU Lana & I have been pushing the idea (NO NOT as cheerleaders  ) of trying to get as many PSU members as posssible to try ONE site..(ain't gonna happen as all folks are different)
ALSO always said I wish PSU could start our OWN auction site (NO NOT
shades of WAGGLEPOP:):) but. admin. is much too busy to take on anything else..at least no time soon.
SOOOO, the next I guess is to just to really TRY to find out where folks truly FEEL that they are doing the best..

J.B
I can just imagine settin' up in the Atlanta heat of July. I'm sure you're already doin' what you can.

Truth is, my friend, that this entire venue will limp along. The problem with us "experienced" antique/collectibles sellers, is that we can remember what it once was! 'member, J.B.? Wow!

It doesn't look like there'll be a top dog for awhile. Just keep deflectin' everybody away from eBay, and maybe there'll be a soup bone left at the end of the day.

I'm lookin' at web space for a stand alone store, and doin' onsite auctions and an occasional indoor/outdoor market. Margins are narrow at every turn. Until something surfaces that will give you a measure of confidence, you'll have to keep doin' just what you are now. Asking, measuring, networking...and being J.B & Lana. Sorry, I'm not much help! Later on, Dan

You know JB, you're a pretty cool cat 8). You know your stuff, and yet you compliment EVERYONE ELSE on their smarts and I haven't seen you talk down to anyone. You obviously have some tough physical obstacles (I can only imagine) and yet you stay strong! Hell, your more upbeat and positive than most people on these boards (you're at the top) and that's including me. Good outlook on life my friend, I love it!

So, back on topic. I started a thread much like this before, but I see you're dedicated to keeping this one alive (unlike mine which died in one fatal swoosh!) so let's hope we get some good info. Sad to say it looks like Overstock is still up there as far as sales, but let's hope for a turnaround.

We'll be posting on Yahoo this week, and TAM, so we'll keep ya posted buddy!

Hey man, I'm doing a little laptop research myself to find out what's good and such, and we're looking at getting some distributors who carry laptops. Once we find some we'll tell you which you should get lana, and work out some sort of deal  (gotta help your friends out). We haven't registered at Overstock yet, but at Yahoo we're theodysseyshop and at TAM we're Odyssey :). Going to post some items this week, HOPEFULLY, but things are going slow (never done this before and I must admit I'm a little nervous, plus payment's alwas a pain).

PS: Any respect I give you, you deserve. That includes compliments! :D
