Trying to find a store that sells doggie sweaters for square dogs. I have two pugs with short bodies and large chest.

Thanks

I am going over to UBid right now to see if anyone has pet clothes. I am glad you posted. I have 5 inches of snow and sleet still coming down and these guys need new sweaters. LOL

Alana, I did a search through Google and found many on the net that sell doggy sweaters and I also did find some on eBay that sell as well. I'm not
sure if I can put the links here so I will email you what I found.

I honestly, did not think this was going to be as difficult as it has turned out to be. LOL. I used to have a seller on Ebay that was super at selling me the right size sweaters, but she no longer has a store or a me page to find her anymore.

This sounds trivia, I guess, but my pugs can not breath well and get distressed in cold weather, so any thing to give them comfort while outside doing their doggie thing is a good thing.

I think what I am going to go with is Velcro this year. I have one pug who is still growing but I did not realize to the extent he has grown which means, at this point, he needs new clothes to get through this winter.

I think I found one online, the owner has pugs and seems to understand my dilemma.

I am glad you found a place to get sweaters...My sister-in-law had a pug who used to love the snow but would get so cold he would start to snort and snort..It was quite funny and the vet said there was nothing to worry about..

  You should see a picture of this one with the sweater one! It is sooooo cute! My mom and aunts all had pugs growing up and then my one aunt continued having pugs while I was growing up. They are very cute dogs and very bossy!  But very adorable!

Bossy....so that's what you call it. I though Chihuahuas were stubborn and pushy...but Taz has them licked.

I put a T-shirt on Taz right after I got him, when he looked like a little balled up piglet. All he did was roll around in the floor, trying to get it off. And cry...I've never had a dog that cries like this little guy does. He is beyond vocal. It must be a Pug language. He has a 'bubba' Chihuahua that he plays with and a sister Pekignese. They play for hours and then Taz passes out for the night. He's definitely different from any dog I have ever had. And a true Momma's boy.

One question though that has been bothering me.....does/did any of your Pugs ever try to take your pants or shorts off of you? Taz has this thing about pants of any length. Not sure if he wants to cover his naked rear or he wants us to join his nudist ways!!

  That is way too funny! My aunts pugs used to try to pull at my
pant legs! I forgot all about that!

I have two big dogs and down below are property lives a lady that has about 5 Chihuahua's and Samson is the oldest. He has been coming up to our property ever since he was born and he beats up my 2 big girls!
He bites at their feet. It is really funny because I used to try and make him
go home but he always stood his ground with me. He is the boss and we all
know it. My neighbor couldn't believe that he was mean to my dogs because
he is only about 5 pounds and my girls are about 80 to 90 pounds. A really
funny site to see. My girls run when he comes over barking!

I can't remember how big pugs are so this may or may not help but here's a great website! The owner is awesome and has really cute dog stuff.

Taz will only get to about 15 lbs. We had some of the bigger breed Chihuahuas that weighed in around that. And they treed...and yes straight up the pine tree mind you...a 100+lb Doberman. (Zeus was one of the biggest Dobermans I have ever seen and the only one I have ever seen climb a tree!)

Well I found my sweaters and thanks so much Jo for the link to another dog site. I will check it out for future references.

No my pugs have not tried to take my pants off or tug at them, but they have tried to take my slippers off.

Yeah they are a little square around the body

short but hard to find sweaters for, because they are so big in the chest and you really have to have some stretch in sweaters to get them around them.
