Online payment service Moneybookers, based in Europe, said 2007 has been its most successful year since the company's founding in 2001, with record growth driven primarily by new ecommerce merchant integrations. The number of active merchants more than doubled in 2007 to over 7,000, fueled by new strategic partnerships with leading online shopping enablers including ePages, SmartStore, DataLink/Holbi, and Afterbuy. The online payment service said almost 4 million customers now have an online account at Moneybookers.

I've always considered Moneybookers to be a strong choice ,especially if you sell in Europe.

One of the most attractive options for receiving money from customers outside the US, low cost and non reversible. Allows to ship without tracking.
But it is tough to get buyers to join. I always offer some kind of discount.

People in general don’t like signing up with personal financial details over the internet, I looked at Moneybookers a couple of years ago..even I did not like the sign-up & it’s not an intuitive system (well not then anyway) ..

So the account was left to die and I went with Nochex (no need for a UK buyer to sign up for a transaction under 100gbp)

Virtual debit cards are being used nore & more, basically payment clearing houses are going to be the way forward
