I'm thinking of opening a PSU store, but have a question that I hope someone can answer for me. I have the Google page rank tool on my toolbar, and have used it to look at several PSU sites. I've noticed that although most of the home pages are ranked, so have been indexed by Google, none of the other pages within the sites have any page rank. Does this mean that PSU sites are not fully searchable by search engines?

Thanks for any help
Linda

PSU sites are fully searchable by search engines. The PSU Stores run using Joomla http://www.joomla.org/

The joomla website runs under the same software so you can goto there site to see the potential on the page rank you can get with your PSU store.

Ok, thanks for the above reply. I do have another question if that's ok , and that is, are we allowed to set up a back links directory on our PSU site?

Thanks for your help

How much control do we have over how the page URL's show up? For example can I get something like this:

http://www.bagsbeadsandbelts.com/belts.html

instead of this:

http://www.bagsbeadsandbelts.com/index.php?page=shop.browse&category_id=2&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1

Thanks
Linda

Yes you can setup a back links directory

We are not able to do
http://www.bagsbeadsandbelts.com/belts.html yet. I have been looking at an addon that will allow you to do that and I already have a few people testing it.

Right now we can change

http://www.bagsbeadsandbelts.com/index.php?page=shop.browse&category_id=2&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1

to
http://www.bagsbeadsandbelts.com/component/page,shop.browse/category_id,2/option,com_virtuemart/Itemid,1/

Hi Terry, thank you for taking the time to reply to my post. Your site looks really good and I see that you have page ranking on most of your pages. I think that I will go ahead and sign up for a PSU site after all :D
