There may already be one and I don't know about it, but wouldn't it be nice if there were a site that would generate a search on several select auction and ecommerce sites so a prospective buyer could see more than one site at a time? I know google products is kinda like this, but I'm thinking of one where you could select and deselect the different sites you are looking at with radio buttons. It would really give the general buyer a chance to see more of what's out there.
I'm usually pretty good at coming up with things that are already out there. Is there one already? |

That MOAAS is absolutely the concept, I see it there on the left side of the PSU search, too bad it doesn't work too well right now. Beef that up, include eBay, OLA, eCrater, and others, and then promote it at every collector's forum you can of, and maybe you could dent eBay by showing some of the competition to the buyers. Did someone at PSU write that? |

There may already be a MOAAS forum here but thanks for your OP anyway. I'd never even thought about how good it would be to compare items across several sites. It'll be totally awesome if the kinks are worked out.

The quest for a Universal Search is part of what landed me here. It was my primary goal in gathering all the information that ended up in my spreadsheet (posted in Other Online Auction Sites). Alas, I could not find one. I did find there once had been some. I did find some that hint at, or even border on what I wanted. These are tagged "search" in the spreadsheet (and one "software"). I emailed a few folks, and encouraged PSUnite to pick up MOAAS again...
One item I found that is not in my spreadsheet is a Firefox Extension with "shopzilla" as part of its name and it will search some auction sites too. It might be expandable - I haven't played with it enough.
A couple of the sites cross-promote or gather data from some sub-alternates.
I agree - searchability would be a very powerful tool to combat the eBay monopoly. I wish I knew how to write it. |

| New thread on this here: http://www.powersellersunite.com/viewtopic.php?t=17303 Whether it's to be a neo-MOAAS with PSU support or something we'll have to build on our own I don't know yet but if there are enough of us we can do it. Like MOAAS did, it will specifically exclude eBay -- a search of all auction sites besides eBay. The point would be to challenge eBay for control of the online auction market -- all of us together, all the small sites, verses them, the Tyrant FeeBay. This universal search is the thing that could unify us all because it would help us all. And there's nothing FeeBay can do about it either. |

This is a multi site search. Of course, its still being tested. But so far its working pretty good. |

| These seems like they're on the right track, if only they can fix it so it is more updated with the more popular sites today. I think many buyers would love to use something like that for their purchases. |
