I joined bidville in January 2006 because eBay continued to raise fees etc...
I had listed some auctions - opened a store etc... When stuff didn't sell in my store after a year or so, I moved everything to auction format since it was no cost to list just to sell.

I wasn't aware of any violations to Bidville policy

now I get an e-mail that said your account is suspended and auctions have all been removed

no reason given - just a suspension

I had over 1400 auctions just vanish

Thanks for nothing Bidville

Mark

The only thing I can think of is the fact that the credit card I had on file with them was expired or something. if so they could have notified me about the problem.

Since I don't sell that much on Bidville anyhow, I wouldn't have been aware that there was a problem with my Credit card or expiration date

I might have had a few duplicate listings by mistake - also they should have notified me that that wasn't allowed

I've had several pretty good transactions with people - buying mostly but I've sold things too- Most everybody was happy with me (most) - One person who bought something from me said it wasn't in condition that it was described and it was poorly packaged. I sent this person a full refund and told them to keep the item

All other items that were purchased were great. Positive feedback left for me.

Now what the heck did I do that was so terrible?

Hi Thedocloc,

Sorry to hear the bad news.

That is a lot of auctions to lose over an apparent lack of communication.

Because Bidcorral was designed by auctioneers (both buyers and sellers) our staff knows that listing an auction (whether 1 or 1400) takes time, including taking pictures, writing descriptions etc... and to just have them vanish would be an upsetting ordeal.

Bidcorral strives to to make our members happy. We offer excellent customer relations, a fast and easy listing process, free stores, and a member community that we consider to be among the best!

We would like to extend an invitation to join one of the best auction venues available, Bidcorral.

Our community is growing like crazy, and we would like to see you as our newest member!

Hope to see you make the change to Bidcorral.

thedoc, yeah I think you were right when you said your Credit Card expired. If you go back to bidville and update that info, maybe your listings will be there. Worth a try. I have been a member with Bidville since they were called Auxpal, over 7 years now. So just to let you know they will suspend you if you let your Credit Card lapse. So try to log into your acct. if you can. If you can't then email them and tell them what is happening. They may be able to bring back your Auctions. I looked at your feedback, its great, so thats probably what happened. You need to update your Credit Card info before you could begin to sell again, they don't mess around thats forsure. Good Luck!!

I find it odd the same day you are featured,[because I did look at your items this morning] that you got suspended.
Very strange same day.
Did you go and look to see if your cc was up to date, sure would like to know.

thank you very much for responding to my post

I also noticed that I was a Bidville featured seller, the same day they suspended me. I might have been suspended before because a credit card expired. It's a shame too.

Maybe it's just not meant to be

Correction - I think I joined Bidville in January 2005
Do I still get to keep my Bidville Bumper Sticker, the Bidville Ice Cream Scooper, the Bidville 16 oz Portable Coffee Mug and my favorite one, The Bidville Hooded Sweatshirt! Can I keep those or do I have to ship them back to Bidville?

Now I have 1400 items in boxes, along with myself on

an Island of Misfit Toys

Bidville won't let me play in any of their Reindeer Games anymore

Oh Another thing I wanted to mention to you. Their Uploading picture area has been down since yesterday. You can't create new listings at bidville using their Image hosting. I emailed them early today, but its been down over 30 hours or so. I think they are all asleep over there. Or on a Long Vacation.

This is the email that Bidville sent me. No response to my question "WHY WAS MY ACCOUNT SUSPENDED?" instead they send me the following e-mail

............................................

*** Please do not reply to this email. It will not be received by BidVille
and you will not get a response. If you need to contact BidVille, use the
contact form in the Help section of the site. ***

Dear thedocloc:

You have 1412 auction(s) on Bidville that ended today with no winning bidder.
Your items closed today and will not be not automatically relisted. These
items will remain in your Closed Items area of TrackPal for 90 days or
until you relist them. To view these auctions, go to the Trackpal section:

You can use the Rapid Relist feature to make them available for sale on Bidville again.
With Rapid Relist, you can relist up to 100 items with only two clicks!

The Bidville Team

---------------------------------

They provided me with a link that I still cant access because my account was suspended. They merely are trying to rub salt on my wounds and were hoping that I would try to relist my 1412 auctions. Probably watching me attempt to do this on their computers and having a good laugh

Nobody there to laugh but the monkeys and they're all on banana break!
That happened to me at Ebay, long after I quit selling there. I went to buy something and my account was suspended because my credit card had expired. Never did get it straightened out and finally had to open a new account-lost 1200 fb! Oh well, it doesn't matter since I don't sell there anymore, but it was irritating! You'd think they would notify you, I don't remember these things at a place where I seldom go.

Hey Doc,

Another option you have for a new venue is www.fididel.com. The site is not up and running just yet. They are in the process of loading auctions onto the site. Should go public in the next few weeks. I am sure they would love to host your auctions for you, as well as anyone else's that is reading this. You can contact Ms. Williams at kwilliams@fididel.com. It really sounds like an interesting new venture then what we are used to with Ebay, Bidville, ioffer, etc., and I am sure you will like what you hear from her. When you contact her she will explain it all to you. I know I cannot wait for them to make their live debut.

Hey Doc...

Some people had luck getting BV issues resolved the other day using this ubid phone number. 1-866-946-8243

Maybe if you give them a call they can get things fixed for you.

Good Luck!

Thank you for using the Better Business Bureau's Online Complaint System.
Your complaint has been assigned case # 94169718.
Correspondence regarding this complaint will be emailed to : mhartmann@g2a.net
Please print a copy of this for your records.

Filed against :
Bidville.com
8725 W. Higgins Rd. 9th Floor
Chicago IL 60631-2716

Complaint Description:
I was a registered member of Bidville as both a Seller and buyer. I had 1412 active auctions on their site. I was a member since January 2005. My account was suspended. No information or reason was provided as to why the suspension occurred. I spent lots of time and effort listing items on their site. Then just like that they suspend me. They even had me shown as a featured seller on March 3rd, the same day the suspension occurred.

Your Desired Resolution:
I want my account reinstated - I want the auctions automatically relisted. If I cannot have my account automatically reinstated, then I want explained exactly what it was I did wrong. I also want to know the steps needed to reverse the suspension. I am a good and honest person. If I did something that a violated Bidville policy, then perhaps a warning could have been issued to me describing what the violation was. If the suspension was due to a Credit Card that had expired, then for sure an e-mail notice would have been preferred instead of a Suspension and then Goodbye. My user name on Bidville was thedocloc

This case will be reviewed by a complaint specialist at the Better Business Bureau, and then forwarded to the business for their response. It is our policy to allow the business 30 working days to respond to your complaint.
