Hello All. Question on the featured store at BV. I noticed that you don't get charged for listing and FSF's with the featured store option. I could have sworn I read something in regards to gallery pictures but now I can't find it. Anyone know if gallery comes free also or is there the normal charge for this feature? Any info would be helpful.
Thanks Frank

If you go Featured Store, there is no charge for gallery pictures in the store ever, and no fsfs ever.

If you have auction items also listed, there is no charge to list them and no fsfs ever.

You can upload a picture to your auction items no charge and it will show the camera icon.

But if you want gallery pictures in your auction items there is a 10 cents charge for the photo.

I get referral credits all the time, from newbies joining up, and those can be used for the auction gallery fees, so hence no charges if you do it right.

This tells you everything, go to the bottom of the page and it gives you the Featured store facts.

Hello Joan. Thanks for the info and the link. For the life of me I knew I had read free gallery with the store items somewhere before, I just couldn't find it. Been having some increased success with my auction items so I'm seriously considering opening a store also. Seems like a lot of bang for the buck.
Thanks Again :D

I did the math of my sales per year and the cost for fsfs and gallery fees.

I realized the store saved me a ton of money.

I use the every 3 months payment and it sure is nice.

Also I use an index in my auctions so a few of the titles in the index takes the person right to all the store items.

Win win for me.

Yes, the free gallery feature is a real money saver. I have over 15,000 cards listed in my store. 15,000 x .10=1,500. A savings of 1,490 dollars per month.

Items show up in specific search. I don't believe they show up in category browsing. Thats why its good to run auctions and store.

Plus, the store saves every sale. I have reports up to 4 yrs old that I can still browse. Nice feature to see if your buyers have a trend.

Plus, just hit the auto-relist tab and you'll never ever have to re-list anything.

Tons of places to place a link to your store. The Yahoo Bidville sellers group among them.

Set up your store as if you were a buyer walking into a brick and morter store. Would you want to look through 500 boxes just looking for Yankees cards or would you want 1 box with Yankees cards.

Any questions or advice I can give, glad to do it.

I checked your listings and can offer this. I have found through experience that it is essential to include the team name when possible in the listings. You want to reach as many collectors as possilble.

Here is one of your listings as an example

2006 Bowman Shaun Alexander #3

Here you reach 1. Bowman set collector, 2. Shaun Alexander player collector

now, simply add team name

2006 Bowman Shaun Alexander Seahawks #3

Now you reach 1. Bowman set collector, 2. Shaun Alexander player collector, 3. Seahawks team collector

When you open your store, if a team collector types in his team name in your search box, it will bring up everything with that team in the title. Saves searching a ton. I know because I have several return customers that are team collectors.

Thanks Tails that's a great point. Never thought of it that way. My son and I had a B&M store in a little indoor mall/fleamarket until Sept. 07'. Unfortunately it was destroyed by fire so we are trying to expand on the internet along with restocking and trying to find a new place. Any suggestions are appreciated. Will start adding team names to my auctions and when I start listing in the store I'll do the same.
