Hello everyone. I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be in Europe form 3/19/08 through 3/30/08. I will have limited internet access and will check in as much as possible.
If you have any immediate questions please contact elgato or Dep-T-Dawg otherwise I will get to it when I come back.
I have been hearing a lot of people talk about the status of MOAAS lately. With all this talk I am thinking about working on the MOAAS project again when I get back from my trip. When the project first started it was an experiment to see if it worked. I learn a lot from it and I will be doing some things differently this time. I am thinking about getting a dedicated windows server and using .NET for it instead of a linux based server running php. The hosting will cost a lot more but I think it will be worth it. I know there are a lot of people willing to help work on the project. What do you think would be the best way to support MOAAS? Charge sites on it a monthly fee? Donations? Ads? I will let the PSU community decided how it will be supported and the features it should have. Please feel free to create a new thread about this in the MOAAS section. I will try to get the ball rolling on your ideas when I get back. |

Thanks for the heads up psunite and hope you have a safe trip!
As for funding the MOASS I kind of like the idea of ads, donations and a SMALL fee for the MOASS users.
Please remember, don't drink the water in Europe! :lol:

I still say I would not worry too much about funding this, once it is up and running, as if it gets the traffic ebay gets it will be an advertising hotspot

You think you could keep it running and updated with the term but must be gargantuan?
maybe between the search and the auction they can do a sort of premiership deal selling off the rights of all and sharing out the spoils. |
