I presume it means the person that has the item hasn't paid their bill and their account is on hold.
You might try asking seller a question in the auction and see if that goes thru.
Hope this helps. |

I would avoid any seller or so-called seller(a/c on hold). Most likely he-she gave up on Bidville, I had problems with 3 of my buys there, to many just park there items for years and Pretend they forgot about it.
Answer, bidville needs auction brains there, sadly lacking since 2001. They have to use there invisible brains and scan the whole site, and read negs, then cancel many accounts.
Bad sellers do not acknowledge your win, you neg them(big deal)then they go and buy items. They sell at their discretion, awful. Immature sellers are not needed anywhere. |

| Had that happen about a week ago. Bid on a card lot and about a day before it closed a cannot bid account on hold came up on the auction. Checked the guy's other auctions and they all had the same thing. Either they hadn't paid their bill or maybe something else was going on. Looked as if he was a fairly new member not many feedbacks. |

| It's possible that it's simply part of John Donahoe's new Bay experience for all. After all, his sellers prefer the new structure. :? |

I think you are confused which forum you are on, this is a Bidville Discussion and has nothing to do with the John guy from the bay.
Thankfully. |

Hi ZPZ50....... That just happened to me with Bidville shutting my account down.. I just opened my store and my CC was out of date.. Took about 5 minutes to update it and now all is up and running.. I been seeing that you are having some success with your store and hope that I can pick up a few new postcard collectors...
I'm also starting in a slow way to get hooked up with Plunderhere.. From what I been reading it looks like they may be a up & comer with the new owner.. have you tried anything there ? |

| Hi Postman. You are right about the CC thing. I kind of figured the guy who's card lot I bid on was having the same problem but it's been on hold for over a week, who knows?? :? Congrats on the store. Did you sign up for a featured store? Can't beat the price, or the fact that there are no listing or final sale fees. Just have to put up with low CS (hope they figure out that this site has a lot of potential and pay more attention to it). As for Plunderhere I have some T-shirts up there at auction, no sales yet but I like the site and will keep trying. I think your postcards could do well on both sites. Good Luck and keep us updated!! |

Also if the item numbers are older, and he's not answered a question with you, very likely he might have changed his e mail address and didn't inform Bidville so hence no way of letting the person know.
Frustrating to say the least. |

A suggestion in a case like this:
I notice that if sellers list on multiple sites, they often have same or similar items with similar descriptions. Searching for that item on Google may find it on another site where contact can be achieved. The same often is true of seller IDs. |
