Does anyone have, or have had, Transtech Merchants Group as their payment processor?
They came to our store soliciting and since we are looking for a Paypal alternative....
2.29 % + 0.20 per transaction, $ 25 monthly fee, they say. (Online transactions)
Some red flags they already raised, though.
Not leaving written material or a business card.
Coming in cold ( I did not ask them)
Ripoff report is rippping them to shreds.
BBB does not know them (but since BBB called Ebay the best in customer service I do not care much anymore :-) )
Their website is three years old, not updated.
I am just looking for other sources of info, if any.
Or a more reliable, cheaper processor?
Right now we have total merchant services for the brick and mortar stuff, and Paypal (brrr) for online. |

| I think those red flags you noted are SUBSTANTIAL! I wouldn't limit my search to them by any means. In fact, with Ripoff "ripping" them, coupled with an out dated web site, personally I'd throw their contact info in the trash...oh, they didn't leave contact info -- how convenient to eliminate that extra step. |

Have you asked your B&M merchant account if they'll do online? There may be services that integrate online with offline... |

| I use my bank for a merchant account -- have for many moons now. You might say I'm grandfathered in since they have to pay a third party to handle my accounts! |
