I type in the items I'm looking for and get a message....
"An error occurred on the server when processing the URL. Please contact the system administrator."
So I tried another search term and again....
"An error occurred on the server when processing the URL. Please contact the system administrator."
So I go into the search page and it doesn't even come up. Is it me (me or my s...l...o...w dialup) or is there a problem with the site? |

| From other posts, seems there are several current problems with the site. Someone can't list. Someone else can't sell. You can't search. uBid can't manage. Folks are hoping someone competent will buy it... |

Hi tiedyetodiefor
Glitches like this pop up from time to time on BV. purple_reading_giraffe is right I, like some other posters are hoping a competent buyer will come along and do something positive with the site, it's been neglected far to long.

| :( I just closed my account with OLA and wanted to start listing on Bidville. I get the same error message everyone else is getting. Perhaps I made the wrong move? |

I have gotten the same error message for two days now. It's happened in the past but generally is rectified in half a day.
Since there is no recourse or way to contact them I am giving up.
It's too bad because the listing program is very friendly and the entire setup is a good one.
...another one bites the dust. |

| I would say perhaps it was the wrong time, especially considering that the Rummage Sale has a chance to get things rolling, IMO. At least I'm hoping. Many of the alts have been showing steady growth. You might consider ebid. |

I started on Ebid about 2 weeks ago. No sales yet. It appears that it takes a sale or two to get on the featured store rotating list.
I am also testing ecrater and ioffer.
I tried OLA but had several issues and have stopped listing on that site.
I also have my own website that is crawling.
The greatest successes thus far are my own site and ecrater...but not enough to eak out a living. |

Hey Woe and Gran...the site is back up and running just fine now. My advice would be to keep at it. When Bidville is running right it's very user friendly. I have had steady sales for the last 2 months. I wouldn't give up on it just yet. Lately I've gotten more hits from people finding my items on Google. They show up on the first page now since ebay doesn't show up as much.
Of course BV isn't going to make you a full time income...but then none of the alt sites are able to do that yet.
Good luck to you both!
