Many small penny stocks don't have live feeds to their meetings. Many of them can't even afford to rent the meeting space for the meeting itself without dipping into private funds. uBid is in trouble; they're not spending much money for anything except survival and PR.
Hopefully, for BideVille sellers such as yourself they will either announce a sale of the platform, or relent and be willing to discuss such a sale after the shareholder meeting. |

Hi Mongoose,
I posted a message on uBid's Investor Board asking if there was any mention of Bidville at the meeting and received one reply so far.....
hi george,
no, there was no discussion of bidville...what they said was is they need a "fixed price" website. This was a very interesting discussion, on a few levels. First, the shopping comparision sites don't pick up the auctions because they're off the page too fast. Second, not all merchants seeking asset recovery want an auction. Also missing an auction site with a fixed price site is confusing. They will be launching a fixed price site, but they have decided on the final url. Hoffman demonstrated a lot of insight. They also talked about developing other distribution channels. The also talked about an international strategy and how to attract more buyers to their sites. It was a lot of info that I'm still digesting...but this takes money. oh, hoffman also mentioned that they are focusing much more on getting the higher margins items upfront on the site. |

Whats Up with Bidville lately? Today I keep trying to get into the Website, but they are glitched out. Can't even get in their to do my work. It seems like lately the website is working when it wants to.
I am in the middle of doing some transfers over to my ecrater store and just when I get rolling Bidville stops working.
Right this moment I keep getting the error page, when I try to get to the main page or any other page. They all must be on vacation or something. |

Hi jcut92,,
Same here..They cut me off twice this afternoon right in the middle of uploading auctions..Had to do them over.. I'm so sorry that I'm so dedicated to them..They given me nothing but grief for the past two months.. I really should be adding a lot more on Blujay and just let BV run itself till a buyer or whatever comes along.. |

Hi Postman, how are you? Seems like we only talk when screwed up bidville is down :) Well you took the words right out of my mouth. I have been with Bidville since they first opened and devoted is my middle name.
I would love to close all my listings there, but unfortunately I use Bidville for my inventory. I don't ever hardly sell there, but its a good reference for me. If you know what I mean. I have approx. 4900 listings there and since I sell at other places, I keep BV opened so I have something to refer to, and they keep my photos for me too.
So right now I am selling at Blujay and ecrater, but I may in the future just dump BV, since the past year or so, they have been very undependable, because of all their glitches and lack of care of the website.
That has to be the weirdest site I have ever sold on, they don't communicate with the members and close up the boards, what the ? is that? How can they be successful, when they don't talk to the members and then close up the boards for members to communicate with each other. Seems to me, that they just don't care about Customer service or about BV at all. What do you make? They are screwy. |

| Bad site, awful non-management. Speaks loads for ubid. 22 Months of nothing, pure nothing. Great set-up, lousy execution forever. |

I have been looking for a Real auction site online, none to be found. Most are like stick in a poke will of the wisps sites. To amatuer for me, no class, no smarts. I Enter then I exit.
Clue #1- Always look at the sites Categories, first. A smart auction user can tell right away if the site has a chance. |

Viewit, your right, but BV did have a chance, but they refused to get involved with their site. They closed the Community over a year ago. Then they refuse to announce anything on their message boards to keep members informed. I have been with them since they opened which was 2001, thats 7 years. Wouldn't you think eventually someone smart would take over. They all seem to have their heads up their ... So when BV first opened up they were called AUXPAL, then they changed their name, cause apparently someone bought them out. The new owners never took it seriously, just think they were experimenting. It did have a chance with Business orientated folks, but they kinda blew it. Now its just ran to the ground. No support at all, Its kinda sad, cause they never gave it their all.
As of right now, I can't even get into the site to view or transfer my items. Its tough. |

Hello all. Been trying to access the site all day. No luck. Same thing happened a few days ago but I was able to get on after a while. Another thing I've noticed is a slow down of sales the last few weeks. Could this be a product of the server going on and off line? Anybody else notice the slowdown? Boy I wish they'd get their act together or sell the site.

Frank, yes siree...everyone who goes onto BV notices that. I haven't sold anything there in awhile.
The site is NO MAINTAINED at all. No communication as to their plans or anything. I mean when you think about it, what website closes down their community area of their site. A non thinking one does. Members and Owners need to communicate and BV is very bad at that. I have been trying to transfer items all day, no luck at all. Can't log in. |

Hi jcut92. You know the thing that burns me is the site was starting to work for me. I was getting some sales, even opened a store, doing pretty well, then all of a sudden, brick wall. The other thing is there's a great core of sellers that I have learned a ton from on these forums. (Bidvillers)It would be a shame if they all fall by the wayside because of a lack of interest on managment's part.

Frank, well your right, but I think MOST of us sellers have an alternative. Bidville has never treated their members right. They always ignored them and their concerns. I have 2 other places that I sell, but mainly use them for inventory. They have been storing my photos for me, so I have kept a regular running of 4900 plus items there.
I started out their selling years ago, but the site was really slow in traffic. They have a very easy format for listing and that was a plus.
But its seems like since they closed the Community they are waiting for the site to die. That was a bad decision for them to close their community. Now members can't even talk to each other. Its bad enough that they don't post messages to us from their end, but they had to close up shop for good.
Every community argues with one another, if you go onto ebay or other places its the same thing, but at least they don't close the community.
I was in shock when they did that, wasn't that back in 2006. So that goes to show you they don't care at all. |

Guess I'll be going back to looking for a site that will work for me. I'm not gonna give up on BV but at this point I can't take a wait and see attitude.
Glad all my listings are backed up.
