Congratulations to buyitsellit, USiFF, and YourHighBid for being added to the auction site count.
One of the requirements to be added to the auction site count was to maintain a constant listing of over 10,000 auctions. All three of theses sites have proved that they are capable of keeping theses listing levels.
Lets wish these sites luck and keep an eye on them on the auction count so we can see them grow. |

| Sorry!! For some reason I was thinking it was off this site. I know where that button is. How does a Site register on the Auction Site Count? Thanks. |

The site needs to be consistantly over 10,000 listings before they can be considered to be on the ASC List. |

| HI PatchDog, Yes, I read that figure. That is why I asked the question. How does a site get considered? 18,000 and growing would work right? |

They need to have a history of having over 10,000 listings and they need a large variety of sellers. I could start my own site and have 10,000 items listed in a couple months but that wouldnt make it eligible for the site count.
PSU are the ones who make the determination in the long run and they have their own standards.

Note that it also says they have to be able to maintain it. This is sometimes why it may take awhile for sites to be listed.
Another point - there aren't any niche sites on the list. :D

Personally, I think that the 10,000 mark is way too low.
Maybe a year or two ago that was an accomplished mark, but today with so many people jumping off the e*** roof, 10,000 is scraping the bottom.
I watched the listing numbers for quite awhile before deciding which other sites to branch out into, and I never for a minute considered the bottom half. |

That may be a good point for PSU to consider, for the reasons you mention. I'm sure many sellers can put up 10,000 listings on a site these days.
I'd like to point out though, as is being discussed in another thread, that listing count alone should not be the only criteria used when choosing a site to list on.
By itself, listing count is an extremely poor indicator.

Thanks so much PSU for including YourHighBid on the Auction Site Count. Our Members have worked and continue to work very hard to keep our counts rising. Slow and steady is the trick.
