SportsCardKing, postman, Cuff, bikersbasement.com, PatchDog, ANYONE AND EVERYONE out there that wants to help.
I hope to make UBid an offer they can't refuse, and before I do I will need to know who will go back to listing there and if I can get some of you good folk to manage parts of the site. It will need moderators, book keepers, an lots of other things to do to the site like advertising Ect.
I AM SERIOUS here folk TNA is A ok but BV has just what everyone needs in a site except management an advertising.
Yea or Nay or even a mabe..............
Lets all reopen BV as a seller owned an operated site: |

if you have enough cash to make a serious offer to a corporation, why not just hire programmers and start your own site? Auction venue software is available for a price, and you could make the rules from the ground up.....
Just a thought.... |

I want a site that has what BV had. I am operating a site that is kind of like BV but with not that many sellers.......... also just want to keep the BV site open and have it like it used to be FUN.
I also feel that with the help of other's that are interested or were interested in BV and it's future, a shot at making it happen. by inviting them to help, they could even own part of it. I don't know all the legal stuff so sure would need someones expertise on that........:}:}
I hope to make them an offer by Wen eve. |

Depends on what all would happen with it, but I'd consider it.
I closed my store there a while back. |

BV was great until Gerald Parker and his Investment Group bought it. Thanks to JB and his fabulous friends some BV Sellers were actually convinced to buy BV stock. Skeeter (not the Skeeter known here at PSU) is documented stating that she owned BV Stock on the BV boards. Then, she's documented stating that she never owned it on another board. That's pretty damning evidence coupled with the FACT that just after the stock manipulations, all members in conflict with you and your fabulous friends were suspended from BV and Dreamgirl took over the boards. That was the payoff.
In a nutshell, you and your friends made it possible for Gerald Parker to damage BV beyond repair and you did it for nothing more than control over the boards. It's sickening really.
Gerald Parker and his crew are in deep doodoo with the law as we speak, and the Feds might just be interested in what went on at BV. So, no JB, I would NEVER involve myself in anything you are involved with. You're a dumbass, and you're corrupt. Bad combination. |

I would never go back to bidville if it was being run by the "posse". Nope, not in the mood for being abused.
Like Cuff said...it's just sickening that a webiste with lots of potential ended up in the dumpster because people were more interested in running message boards than in selling. Most of the people that participated in that carp didn't even have any auctions up. Sad. |

Unpleasant results would probably qualify as the understatement of the year. |

Point taken!
I used to have a store on Bidville, but ended up closing it, when I could never seem to get any traffic to it! Then when uBid bought them, I cringed... my first online auction experience (buying, not selling) was with uBid, and it was horrid. But, I had hoped that maybe fresh revenue would bolster Bidville, and they could advertise some more. That didn't happen.
I was surprised that they closed it entirely - it was one of my favorite places to shop for fabric (which I am addicted to, but not looking for a cure).
I know advertising costs a lot, which is why eBay takes advantage of all the free opportunities, like the Tonight Show, and all the places that would make fun of it. I've never understood why the smaller guys didn't get their name out there more.
If we can see the colon cleansing guy umpteen times a night, then there must be some deals to be had on cable TV for time. I've even seen Overstock ads on TV, but nothing for the other guys. Too bad they won't band together and share the costs just as an anti-eBay ad, and list themselves together as alternative shopping sites! |

| I'd put my money in "Wigix "first,or start my own from scratch. It's not like they had that much following. I did sell there, but it's not the one I would reccomend. The only thing they had going for them is that they were set up similar to Ebay. |

Cuff an gang! I did NOT come in here to get pushed around again by you an the gang. So keep your aucations to your gang members and your self as what you stated is NOT true.
I did how ever come in here to do by best at keeping BV alive as I felt that with you and your GANG involved it might work again as I did like some of the coments made on the BV boards.
Cuff I still hold NO GRUDGES to you or your group I figered one day you may come to your sences.
What I had planed on and what I guess I will do is to Tell UBid to forget it and just keep on keepin on at TNA.

How ironic that the same people who helped Gerald Parker destroy BV are now coming to its aid. I told you at the time that your actions would someday come back and bite you in the ass. You could have avoided it had you not tried to take advantage of this situation.
And, of course you're not holding a grudge, JB... nothing was ever done to you. You and your friends did all of the doing.
Dave? It's good to see you :D |
