A friend just sent me an email that states the new President coins that have or, are going to released do not have 'In God We Trust" on them. The message is telling people to refuse them as change.
However, on the US Mint website it states that it is on the edge of the coins and show a picture of them.
Is it possible that some were released with out the printing on the edge and, if so wouldn't that make them collectable? |

The IN GOD WE TRUST is found on the edge or rim of some of the coins.
And no, it is not possible for them to run them out via the mill because such comes out in proofs or uncirculated and are inspected. For such mill run damages are far too easy to be picked up, they are the first to be processed before the imprint of the obverse and reverse of the coinage itself (or commemorative coinage as well). So such damages would have been rejected automatically.
Hope this helps!
