Hi,
Well I hope I understood this thread.
I was in Staples about a month or so ago and noticed that they had a credit card terminal there with a 3 x 5 slip of paper with info on in order to phone about the equipment that they had on display.
Well, I called and along with not only being able to accept Master card, Visa card, American Express and Discovery. I can also process bank cards and checks thru the terminal I had now. This makes things great for me.
Now even though I am still signed up with Paypal, I am planning on dropping it altogether here in the next few months since people can now phone or email me their information and I can take care of things myself without a go between.
Not sure if this is important to anyone but figured I would write about it. Here are some other factors about doing this the way I did. Landmark Merchant will set up a store for you. It does not cost you anything for them to do so. And with the amount of money they are making on ALL credit card charges, it makes sense.
I will tell you that I went for the whole deal at once. The terminal cost me $495.00. BUT, it was well worth it for what I have to sell and how people are paying for items today.
Just some info for you all to read about. |

| Very interesting! Is there a charge per order? What other charges are involved? Keep us posted, this is especially interesting for those with websites. |

Do you have to buy the terminal for from them? Because you can easly find a nice terminal for under $200. We just upgraded our terminal. Our old one took too long to print and it was loud.
Round if you take credit cards over the web make sure you ask for the 3 digit code on the back of their card. Some credit cards and terminals require it. |

You can either rent it monthly or purchase it. I decided to purchase it. Figured things out and in the long run it was cheaper.
I like the terminal and did when I seen it and had no problem with getting it brand new. Yeah, sure I could have gotten probably a used one but anything used may have it's problems. Like when you purchase a used car?
As far as catagories and product, it is unlimited for the website. I did ask them about that because if I ever get everything up on there, I did not want to find out down the road that it was a limited thing.
Sorry I have not been in to respond to much. Did not bookmark this and could not remember exactly what this place was called. So I checked on one of the auction sites to find out. It is bookmarked now. :) |
