I just tried to pull up the bidville site, and the standard white page entitled "this site is not available" came up.
anyone know whats up?
(wouldn't it be great to see that happen with ebay!) |

| I also tried bidville and it will not work for me either. I have several hundred auctions and a store on there. I hope they get it fixed soon. They were the biggest next to ebay in auction listings. I was also wondering what other auction site bit the dust as referred to in the last post. |

| Bidville is back up. All of my auctions are still there (to bad none were sold). You may want to check your listings. |

The one that DID close this week was Lunarbid.
While I haven't done anything on Bidville, I'm glad for all those that do have stuff there that it was only some trouble and not gone.

| I might consider finding a new place to list my items. I've heard one bad story after anohter about Bidville... There are many alternatives out there, I'd invest some time in the others ones, even if you decide to keep your things at Bidville. It appears to me as if this baby's going to blow... |

| LOL, well I don't mean to be a jerk, but I'd hate to see these people lose all their items and have no place else to go. Just calling it as I see it is all, but I think people are taking me for a bitter guy lol. I just hope they understand where I'm comin' from and that I'm trying to help. |

Roundabout you are not bitter, but just like the folks who refused to leave N. O. some people will not heed your message. Then they wound up in a mess just like the lady with orange hair who lost her child. She said on TV they had no money and they were not prepared. Yet she had money to get orange hair. Go Figure..............
I watched fleavenders for 2 months after the e-fee-UPgrade. It was never down. I watched bidville for 2 months and it was down a lot. I think someone has told a lot about bidville on this site. Sad but some sites will go and some will join together. In my business mind I wish it would happen soon. Then people would stop sending me emails saying I don't want to join another site because I am a member of ebay. Will you sell to me off the site or when the item ends. Buyers are not members of ebay anymore than they are members of JC PENNAAAYsss but they are conditioned by the e to think they are members. When we have only a few sites they will condition their self to buy from us. Then our sales will be like they were. Glory Be for that DAY!!!
Happy paths to you till we meet again,

Hmm, well I think that's a bit of a harsh comparison but I kind of get it. Although I don't want to bring N.O. into this, I will say that these people have nowhere to go even WITH the meagre "Government funding" they're receiving, so I think that anyone who criticises those at or below poverty for not leaving are probably relatively well off (dare I say white?) people who are unaware of their situation (it's a natural impulse to be so judgemental).
That being said, I do believe there is a storm that's going to hit Bidville, and if you can afford to at least post elsewhere while at Bidville you should. I believe people at Bidville are selling on borrowed time, and I'd hate people to get ripped off or find themselves in a tight situation because they supported such a sub-par venue. |
