I've been selling on ecrater and although I do like it, I wanted a name all my own that would be easier for my customers to remember so I signed up for a store at Prostores.
The store is $29.99 a month and I see that PSU has what appears to be about the same thing for a third of the price.
Has anyone used Prostores and can do a comparison between the two? Also...can I keep my Prostores name or do I have to do a new one? |

| I have not used prostores but you can use your existing domain for your psu store. |

I looked into ProStores way back when they came out & eBay was pushing them.
IMHO....I'd find a better deal. Your domain name belongs to you, so it shouldn't be a problem to move, just make sure you select a place you're going to be happy with and stay for a long time. Search engines don't like it when we move around alot.
I love my PSU store. I have a huge reseller account with plenty of space elsewhere, but I keep my PSU store here and my other sites over there, LOL. Does that tell ya anything? Good deal, good support, great friends & community.

| I signed up for free trial period of Prostores and within one day got a phone call from a pushy salesman who wanted me to spend $5,000+ for a site improvement and listing search upgrade. Even when I said no they kept calling until I cancelled my account. Basically, what they said was unless I was wasting my time and money for a basic store. But if I paid all that money my listings would be at or toward the top of every search. I understand you have to promote an individual site but that is a lot of money. I have not yet used PSU and cannot give an opinion on that. |

I hope Elgato weighs in... he has a PSU store and can probably answer your question well. Giraffe is great at research and I'd like to hear her opinions too, as well as Mongoose!!!
I know I'm bookmarking this thread because I'd like to know too!!! |

The PSU Stores are a great deal. You can look here for more details:
http://www.powersellersunite.com/psustore_about.php
At that link, you can test drive the Admin demo and the Store Demo. There are also links to some of our PSU stores there. Or you can check out mine below...lololol.
Tried lots of different carts, auction sites, blah, blah, blah. But I love my PSU Store!

WARNING ABOUT PROSTORES
I have tried nearly every store host there is.
prostores has poor customer service just like ebay.
if you don't set it up correctly the prostore system will hi-jack all of your domain functions, not just the store addess.
i had to close the prostore to get my .com email working again. it was a disaster. no one there even answer the email, let alone gave the deer in headlights look i expected. duh!
